2016 Tucson Infotainment TL-01 Update

2596 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Payam
Hi All, I am new to this forum. I recently got my car serviced by Hyundai service and they updated the infotainment system software but the buttons do the different functions, when connecting my phone the speaker is not working, etc. I asked them to check and they say there is a short in the unit which doesn't make sense as all functions are there but only not correctly mapped with respective button. Now, I am trying to download the software to be able to update it again. If anybody has the same issue and came up with a solution, I appreciate your feedback.

You may not find much help here as it's only for the 2022+ model cars

If the dealer did an update and it no longer works I'd push them to help you. Could be a calibration thing on the touchscreen, I'm not sure what that process is on your car however. Could be a bad digitizer too

Thanks Phalkon for letting me know about the purpose of this forum and I will not bother the members anymore for outdated car ;) However I would like to share that something really strange happened within the weekend. My wife connected her iPhone for charging and found that the AppleCar is working. I tried it with mine and found that it connects and show but still recognizes the phone as handset and I cannot hear anything from speakers. The next time I connected for reading the map, speakers worked!!! Now, it is clear to me that it's not a hardware as Hyundai Customer Care claims and it only needs software update. The next step for me would be connect my iPhone while having access to internet and then try setup for update. I suspect that it might be automatically connects to website for update.

Just for record that I used below link to download the software and updated the infotainment software as instructed and the problem fixed.

Didn't mean to sound condescending about the forum, my experience is unless you're on a forums dedicated to a specific model you won't get a great response.

Glad you figured it out! Hopefully it helps others in the future as well

Excuse me if I made confusion; I meant your correct guideline took me to the right place and made me able to solve my problem. I do appreciate it.
The only reason I shared the result here was in case somebody like me is lost and came across this forum for similar issue, could have a clue that where he/she might be able to find the solution.
Again, thank you so much for your time and support. :)👍🙏
