.I have a 2022 Tucson LTD and am trying to listen to USB Music. When I insert the USB stick. the music plays but all songs are duplicated (they are not duplicated when I insert into PC).

Additional issue is all songs are listed alphabetically. I've read that there is a randomize button at the base of the media screen, but I find no such button.

Can anyone help with these issues?

I have the 2022 Tucson LTD Hybrid and i have the opposite. When I insert the USB stick, It will only read about 15 songs which are MP3 out of 2400 songs. I'm not actually sure which format it will read and can't find any information on the web about it.

It is a little bit difficult to provide a definite answer to your question but are you saying that only 15 songs out of 2400 are MP3 format and the rest are not?
If that is the case - then you, most likely, already answered your question and the rest of songs might be in incompatible format.
However, if ALL songs are in MP3 format but you are able to play 15 songs only, then possible reasons could be:
  • those 15 songs are NOT organized into folders , they are just songs at the root of the directory and the rest of songs are organized by folders. If that is the case - try to eliminate all folders and have songs only within the root directory
  • songs may have "unreadable" characters in their titles ( such as commas, apostrophes, dashes, underscores, non-Latin characters, etc.)
  • if bit rate/sampling rate is too high/ not compatible with the car head unit. You can check, while USB drive is in the computer - pick up any song, one of those that doesn't play - check song properties and compare against the songs that play
  • only 15 songs are not protected by DRM ( Digital Rights Management ) and the rest are
  • could be a number of other reasons but, I think, those I mentioned above, should "do the trick"

My 2022 Ltd seems to show the music fine, but it will play an album alphabetically rather than by song number. Certain albums need to be played in the correct order. I cant seem to find a way to play in the correct order.
You need to modify the meta data. TRy downloading MP3TAG onto a PC, connect it to you USB stick and have a look at what is displayed. You may find all sorts of odd ordering in there which needs to be fixed.

Look at this post and you can see what I did to make it all work (the last picture is from MP3Tag)

Thanks for posting this (y)

Editing the metadata can be time-consuming, but if you want to get everything working/displaying correctly it's pretty much mandatory...
So far, it's working OK.

I checked the files, they appear to be fine.
This stick played fine in my last car, in correct order.
I found that I had to change things from my BMW to my Tucson.

Can you post your meta data and folder structure?
