So this morning my wife tried out the remote start. Seemed to work fine, however, 20 minutes later the car stopped. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Not sure what model of car you have. On the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited PHEV the remote start within 10 minutes if you don't get in. Page 6-12 in the owners manual.

She has an SEL that for some reason has many more options than it should. I'll check out the owners manual. 10 minutes surely doesn't seem long enough to warm up the car, especially when it's below freezing outside. Ahh, I guess she doesn't have that remote, she used Blue Link to start the car. I'll have to find the manual for that I guess.
Bluelink maximum time is 10 min. You can select any amount up to 10. I set my wife's NLine up with three (also the max) Start settings

Reg start (5 min)
Summer Start (10 min) - Air conditioning set to the lowest to cool the car down
Winter Start (10 min) - Heat cranked up to the highest level, seat warmer on, heated steering wheel on, rear defrost on

Just have to remember to start it again after the 10 minutes

Depends if you are talking about warming up the car on the inside, or warming the engine. If it's the latter, even 5 mins is enough even in -35°C weather like I am currently experiencing. It has always been advised to limit prolonged idling in the first place, so if you have Bluelink (you should for 3 years minimum), set it to turn on the heated seats, and heated steering wheel with no climate fan on. a minute or two of driving, and you will have hot air coming out of the vents, as opposed to 5 minutes of cold air, and and engine that will not get to temp as fast.

My 2022 tucson's remote start works sporadically at best. If I just push the bottom button on the fob, nada, nothing. I have to push the unlock, then lock, and then it will start...and I'm standing close to it, not from inside my home. I don't need it, so won't bother trying to have it looked into. Should have power fold mirrors, doesn't, should have panoramic sunroof, doesn't, with both high dollar packages, convenience and premier, for $4200.00 additional, you'd think it would have these features, disappointed at that lack of those features.

I will save you some time on research. Lock it, press and hold the remote start button for 3 seconds. Work 100% of the time for me, and the signal yellow lights will flash 3 times to indicate a successful start. Bluelink always demands that it is locked to use the app as well.

thanks! I'll get into the habit of pushing the lock first to use applications on the Tucson.

In Bluelink settings there is a feature that will automatically lock the doors for the AutoStart feature. T believe this will work only when remote start is activated FROM Bluelink. I tried it and it does lock the door but it takes a dreadfully long time. From the keyfob I think you always have to lock the door first. oh BTW this is on a 2022 Tucsion Limited PHEV

Do you have a screenshot? I don't think it's in the crippled Canadian app...
I could not find that setting in my IOS app. Mine is the Canadian version.

On the bluelink homepage click utilities on the bottom then go to the settings icon on the top and you will find the screen

These are not options are not available on the Canadian app.
The remote starter only turns on the engine, not the heat/AC. Mine defaults at 22 deg. Celsius.

I have to use bluelink if I want to actually get the heat running. And it's only 10minutes. For both ways in my experience.

Whereas mine is the opposite because it is the Preferred model so it has the dials. Have to turn them right down in the cold.
That's how the remote works, as the manual says. The car runs for 10 minutes, then shuts off. I don't know about Blue Link, I don't use it. The manual really sucks. It doesn't say how the heat functions with remote start, but mine defaults to 72 deg. F (22 deg. C). It also doesn't say if you can restart multiple times. I never tried it. I started it today. The outside temp was 10 deg. F (-12 C). I drove away before it timed out and the car was producing good heat. I assume in the hot weather the a/c would start.

I use the BlueLink app it gives you maximum 10 minutes not enough time to warm up.
The 10 minutes definitely starts the heating process inside the cabin but if you have heated seats and steerling wheel they are definilty toasty and makes the cabin livable :)

If you had an Ultimate you can make different remote start setups. I made a winter one with heat on, seat heats and wheel heat, and a summer one with AC on.

From the dash when using the key fob or just when using the app?
