Hi. I have a 2023 Tucson hybrid blue and was looking over the engine. Does anyone know what this part is? (circled in red)

Maybe? The turbo is located on the back side of the engine, this is attached to the valve cover.

That's the motor (actuator) that runs the cvvd valve train. If you look at the green arrow on the right, it is pointing to it. Go to 6:00 in the video to see the description and function. You should watch the whole video. It has a complete explanation for how it works. It is the only engine of it'ds kind on the market.

Just a dumb question but why would you pull the engine out of a new car?

I don t think he pulled out the engine. Lol that engine is on a skid, most likely engine was at the dealer. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL ENGINES on skids at Hyundai dealer

Just kidding. I used a photo from an eBay auction that I came across while trying to figure out what that part was for. Mystery solved. Thanks everyone.
