Hello Everybody,

Any update on 2023 Tucson PHEV orders.

Did anybody place the order or preorder ?

I put deposit on preorder for 2023 Tucson PHEV Ultimate shimmering silver on February 28th, but at that time dealer was not able to place the order.

Dealer told me ( and showed me on display ) that 2023 Tucson PHEV is scheduled to start with production in May 2022.

I preordered a 2023 white/black interior Tucson PHEV ultimate (top trim in Canada) on Feb 10 with a $500 refundable deposit down payment.
The salesman said that Hyundai would start taking orders for the 2023 model in April. He didn't say when the factory would start producing them, but did say that best case delivery may be sometime between Oct & Dec/22.
Hopefully, he will be kept informed by the factory & enter the order as soon as is possible to establish a spot in the production line.
I assume when that happens we will hear from Hyundai directly regarding build date.

My input would be something similar to [B]somekindaguy[/B] . Did put down $500 deposit towards 2023 Tucson PHEV Ultimate. Dealer said, Hyundai will open taking 2023 Tucson orders starting late March / Early April and delivery would be (hopefully) before Christmas.

I did put the same $500 deposit.

My dealer here in Ontario was not able to tell me ETA for delivery, he said he will know more once order is placed because it will depend on the time when order is placed & waiting list but also he showed me on his computer screen May 2022 scheduled production start for 2023 Tucson PHEV model.

I have to say i am not optimistic that will be before Christmas just because so many 2022 model have to be completed before our 2023 I guess ( unless many 2022 orders cancellation due to global situation ).

People's backlog is already moved to a few months. You'll be lucky if you get delivery in 2022.

I missed the cut off back in December 2021 by a couple days so I have been waiting for them to be able to order my HEV ultimate since then. Waiting anxiously for my dealer to text and tell me he could finally submit my order.

Will you be able to lock in your price at time of order? Also in US, looking to wait for the 2023’s and pre-order a Tucson hybrid plug-in limited. Previously we’ve been successful with the email blast to multiple dealers approach locking in good deals and wondering if this will still be an option with the demand and shortages.

I dont know is it possible to lock in price at time of order, I can tell you my dealer said that the price of 2023 probably will be slightly higher than 2022 ( $500-1,000 his guess )

I talked to my dealer today and he confirmed that the canadian order system will be opening tomorrow for 2023 orders. I am not sure if it will be the same for the US but fingers crossed it is.

I contacted my dealer here in Ontario and here is his answer :
the sold orders on 2023s have already been open for certain vehicles unfortunately not all of them.
The Gas engine Tucson starts tomorrow the HEV and PHEV we don’t have ETA’s but it should be soon.

Unfortunately NOT for HEV & PHEV yet as per my dealer.

This was my impression as well, my dealer seemed to say that my order was with Hyundai Canada, so is already in a queue waiting for actual orders to open.

So meaning they don’t actually have to enter them again? This would make me very happy as my concern is there will be a race to enter the orders once they allow them again as I’ve been waiting since early December.

I would hope so as well, but I think that this would be like any other business. Salespeople are away or on different shifts, breaks, lunch, meetings, etc.

Reality would seem that the orders (if not already input to Hyundai Canada earlier), would be input asap, but I don't think anyone would be racing to complete their assigned jobs/tasks.
Of course, there would be some urgency likely, but other job priorities (in person customers come to mind), would take precedence over data input; unfortunately.

I'm in the same boat, so hope for the best, but my job experience indicates that input will happen when they get to it.

I doubt production will start in May as I am waiting for my 2022 Tucson Ultimate shimmering silver plugin PHEV with a scheduled made date of JULY... Heaven knows when it will arrive????

I put my $500 down for a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate PHEV in March in Edmonton. I was told April would be the opening month for orders.

I was contacted by my dealership today with an update that factory orders were still not available. My sales guy sounded quite pessimistic, saying now with chip shortages, there is now a lithium shortage? He told me it could be many months before ordering, however, he would keep me updated monthly. I'm hoping for an order by summer for a spring 2023 delivery!
