Anyone else miss the cut off for the 2022 models and waiting on the order portal to open for 2023?

We submitted our order with our dealer on Dec 9, 2021 evening for a HEV ultimate in white and we just missed the cutoff as it looks like this is the day they “sold out”. Just wondering how many other people are in the same position.

Uh… that’s interesting. I assumed they’d just keep coming(?) Hmm… that’s ponderous. We have them coming in every couple weeks here. A few say the first week of February… then another “round” of them in March… but within 100 miles there are about 100 available (or so it appears).

This is what we see on the Hyundai Canada web site. The non-hybrid versions can still be ordered, it seems.

Sold out meaning they are only building the orders they have taken at this point and when they resume taking orders they will be building 2023. Like above poster said this is only for the hybrid and plug in hybrid Tucson.

Maybe the US system is doing something different? I can only speak for my experience in Canada

I'm guessing that since the lead time on an HEV and PHEV is several months now they are suspending orders for 2022 models in order to fulfill those they already have and also to ensure that 2022 orders don't roll into assembly line queues for the 2023 model. It's reasonable to think Hyundai will be accepting orders for 2023 models in mid-2022.

It's reasonable to think Hyundai will be accepting orders for 2023 models in mid-2022.

More than likely a lot of the PHEV orders they already have taken will end up being 2023 models anyways as they aren’t projected to fill all of them until the end of 2022.

HEV/PHEV are imported from Ulsan, Korea. Factory reached its limit to make all it can until 2023. So they stopped taking orders for HEV and PHEV.
They will start taking orders for 2023 models in spring which will be delivered in 2023.
Non-PHEV models are built in Alabama, USA. They still have capacity.

I have ordered 2 PHEVs in Vancouver, Canada. I will have to let go of one when it arrives (production in April).
Color is Crimson Red with Black interior.

That's true, however, dealership reports that Hyundai says that there will be no changes for the 2023 model; all colours & packages remain the same as 2022 models.
Apparently, they will start taking the confirmed orders in April, if not sooner.

I just put down a $500 deposit for a 2023 Tucson PHEV Unlimited with a dealership in Edmonton. From what I gather most of them are hopeful that ordering will open in April but seems like quite a few of you folks were told earlier lol. I was also told by every dealership that I called, that it would almost definitely be ready for pick up in 2022, with some of them saying as early as August/September. Have you guys heard similar?

Also curious what you guys think of the 2 tone grey interior? I'm thinking black but my partner is pushing for the 2 tone grey and she usually gets what she wants lol

I don’t think there’s much hope of getting a 2023 PHEV in 2022 unfortunately. People that ordered them in November and December of last year are set to hopefully get their delivery before the end of the year but anyone ordering this year will likely be early 2023.

That is unfortunate but I can see that being the case. All the dealerships assured me that it would be in 2022 but likely just a sales tactic.

I went with Southtown Hyundai, the 2 other dealerships in Edmonton that I was considering both charged admin fees (one place was somewhat reasonable at $250 but the other wanted $800)

That you be fantastic, it is what the dealerships have told me but would be great to see that being supported by Hyundai Canada, even though it is likely to change.

Can I ask where you found that information? I just looked on the website and I'm not seeing any reference to 2023 models.
