Hi All,

I have a Tucson PHEV ( 2023 Premium model if it matter in any way ) and I wonder if any of you found a neat way for storing the type2 charging cable?
I used the charging cable few times per week as I don't have a home charger. It does annoys me to have the cable always laying around in the trunk with no access and neat storage availability for the charging cable.
Even with the cargo net installed in the trunk, one that comes with the car, the interior of the trunk looks messy as the charging cable take lot of space even I curl it.

Anyone found a nicer way to store the charging cable in the car somewhere and still be able to access it easily?

Thanks!

Not a direct answer but I try to keep the cover hooked every time I close the hatch. (I don't have the PHEV.) But always have a few bungee chords, throw blanket and emergency items in a bag or two.
BTW I found a good place for my fire extinguisher. Under the driver's seat, behind the amp, wrapped in a dark rag. No rattles, accessible and no rolling around!

It’s not convenient but it is tidy - under the floor of the trunk there is a hatch you can open. The foam block has cutouts. I stuff it in the center back on that is long and skinny, part of it back where you can’t see, with the remainder of the cord in the front section that is visible. I don’t use it away from home nearly as often as you, so packing it up for road trips isn’t as big a deal as doing it several times per week. Of course this doesn’t work if you have other stuff in the trunk preventing you from lifting the hatch.

On a semi-related note, we eventually found a secondhand level 1 charger on Craigslist for a reasonable price ($50) so we wouldn’t have to move the home charger to the car. Any charger with the same port shape as the one Hyundai includes will work, it doesn’t have to be the exact model.
