Hello, is anyone having issues with their reverse camera? My camera will not show up on my screen when I have the car in reverse. It’s pretty annoying

I'll answer, "No." But have you yet called the dealer to find whether this is a 'thing' they're finding with the particular powertrain and trim level of yours? They may also be able to offer suggestions for diagnosis to causes based on experience gained from other Hyundai models. Lastly, the owner manual would normally have a 'Troubleshooting' Section worth checking, and if for no other reason than to eliminate that from the picture, and further questions from posters bringing it up.

None whatsoever. Did you change any settings? You may have inadvertently disabled it.

I was looking through the settings to see if that was possible but I can’t find anything in settings besides choosing to extend the reverse camera in other gears besides reverse
Does the camera work when you press the "parking view" button? That would isolate whether the camera works or not.

That’s not working either, but it’s just a new thing that started happening, within the last few days

You might take a walk to the back of your car and see if there's something obstructing the lens. Otherwise, it looks like you've got a dead camera.

The camera is more than likely unplugged in the back hatch. Take it to the dealer as it is covered under the warranty.

In the future you may want to be more specific in your subject description, if you want to get more replies.

You didn't mention having done this, so let me state the obvious: call the dealer and make an appointment. I'm sure they'll get cha fixed up. The back up camera is one of the things I love about my Tucson: works very well.
I do think it rather annoying that the camera doesn't shut off until the car reaches about 7 mph going forward. Seems like it ought to turn off when I shift out of reverse, but it doesn't. So since we're on a backup camera thread here, is that normal?

Yah I see some crackpot up there in Post #2 recommended the dealer.

And BTW, FWIW and FTR I like the I'm surmising is normal camera delay feature, at least for now. I installed an outdoor storage structure (giant quonset hut) for all the garage contents while itself has been taken over to store materials for a renovation. With that, all the cars have been cast outside as well, ......except of course the wife's Tucson. Retaining an unbroken rear view really speeds up the process of jockeying amongst all the conjestion, and in and out of its stall.

Oops... missed that post: thanks Tuc. Anyway, the only reason the delayed camera shut off is an issue is I have to idle down my crummy dirt road VERY slowly, and I can't diddle with my music until I can SEE the dumb screen. No biggie, not really worth complaining about. Just thought it was kinda weird. At least now I know it's normal to this car.
I LOVE it when a problem has a really enjoyable solution. For that "damn camera won't turn off until 7 mph going forward", well I say it's a simple matter of revving to ~5k and dumping it in 'D' when starting out. And then apply sufficient acceleration to attain and maintain the min. 7mph until it turns off. As it's a dirt road I recommend a safety measure of say... 60 on the speedo for a little pleasing lost traction and hopeful powerslide. BRILLIANT!

I installed excellent WeatherTech mudguards for just that reason. But haven't used them for that yet. ;)
Amazing!!! But before I take your fine advice, how's that power slide philosophy working out for ya my friend? And don't forget I have a front wheel drive car...

Or, you could just push the Camera button and turn it off... :D

Ours is the AWD, allowing for all manner of immature antics involving all 4 corners. And honestly I heap a lot of abuse on my wife, but draw the line with her infant 1yo SUV.
Since we're supposed to be talking about a reverse camera, I got an idea: since I don't need to go to the dealer to get my reverse camera looked at like our OP should... and I have a front drive Tucson. Perhaps I can stick it in reverse, watch where I'm going with my back up camera, and do some "reverse" donuts out in the high school parking lot. Ha... just like I did some 50 years ago just after a snow in my 67 Camaro... That reminds me, since I graduated in '73, this year is my 50 year reunion. This should be interesting.

In your settings, deselect the extend reverse camera function. That will shut off your camera as soon as you shift out of reverse.
