I have a new 2023 tuscon hybrid sel with about 400 miles on it. The average gas mileage seems to be about 33 mpg. Is this about normal?
Sounds about right. I have 21,000 miles and would guess 35+ mpg for those miles. It has been consistent since mile one. At times I have gotten well over 40 mpg and have rarely gotten less than 30 mpg on a fillup and that was in cold weather. The only thing I do differently than most is to run my tires at 38 psi cold. I have the base "blue" model with 17 inch wheels.

I think 33 is very good, considering you are still in the break-in period. For me, right around 2k miles I noticed a noticeable jump up from 29 to about 35mpg. Perhaps you are ahead of the curve!

Seems about normal. Another factor to consider is which Drive mode you are using. I flip between Eco and Smart on my Hybrid Limited.....have been averaging 35 mpg here in south Florida. I am happy - I am now driving a more luxurious Hyundai vehicle that is quiet, with good acceleration, combined with significantly better mileage than my 2016 Subaru Forrester (24 mpg) . Keeping fingers crossed my Tucson will be reliable for the long term!!

This should be fine. There will be some difference in mpg based on region/state - weather, landscape, driving style, etc. I have 5k+ miles in my SEL Conv Hybrid and average in cluster shows 34.2 overall, though I feel the mpg will increase slowly. I would say my mixed driving styles are involved. For a tank full, it shows around 450+ miles range for now.

Driving really slowly. I wanted to see what would happen. Clearly, I am still in the break in period, but this was very heartening.
