Does the car need to be running to apply the update? My new Tucson has said for a couple of days that its getting ready to apply an update. I've not driven more than 20 minutes at a time since it started saying this.

If the message on the screen has a place for you to pick to apply the update you have to initiate that. It will then update even if the car is off.

It did finally prompt me to install the update, which it did when I told it to do so. While the car was off. I don't know if it took 5 days to download Or just waited a couple of days before it asked.
