Apple CarPlay

Good morning Tucson drivers,
I just recently purchased a ‘22 Tucson hybrid luxury and I am having issues with the volume when using apple carplay. Somehow I am unable to raise or lower the volume using the volume scroller. I adjusted the setting in sound for apple carplay but is this a normal occurrence?

I've started a thread for this a week ago but didn't get anywhere. I have a PHEV luxury (I assume same 8" screen as you then) - is this when you're on a call or for radio/ music volume? My issue is I cannot adjust volume on an active phone call. It'll take whatever last volume I was on "media". When I am on a call it says "phone" when I adjust the volume but nothing happens.

Sorry new member here I didn’t see your previous discussion. Yes exactly! I am unable to adjust the volume during a phone call either up or down nothing happens. I have adjusted the volume through apple carplay set it at 25 but regardless we should be able to adjust the volume during calls. Very odd not sure if it’s something I am doing wrong or just the system has a glitch. I am going to try not using apple CarPlay to see if this affects regular Bluetooth. Yes I also have the 8” screen I thought it would be nice to keep the volume button and tune scroller also have wireless apple carplay.

Glad to know i'm not alone! I couldn't find anything online. There are audio settings for each parameter to adjust in Car play but i've tried all that and it doesn't work. I use Spotify for music so say if I listen at volume 15, when the call comes in it's stuck at the same level. So if I was listening to music on a low volume, my phone call will be low. If it was loud, it'll be loud. It's like stuck at whatever media volume was last set to. I've reached out to my salesman he said he will check with the service. Clearly it is an issue with this particular screen and/or wireless car play. I'll let you know on my end if I hear back from the dealer. Cheers

Very odd, I turned off wifi and decided not to use carplay right now but just running Bluetooth I still can’t control the volume. Yes please let me know what the dealer says. Maybe if it affects a lot of us there will be a recall.

Hey there. I just got back from the dealer my salesman and a service tech tried for nearly 1 hour without any success. They don’t know what the problem is and have no fix or updates from Hyundai. I have an iPhone 12 mini 2 months old so it’s not like I’m using an outdated device. It’s either the software in the car or apple car play. They think it’s Apple but I doubt my wife has the same phone and works fine in her Audi. Although she plugs the phone in whereas this is Wireless. It’s obviously a glitch somewhere between the phone and the infotainment in the Tucson. My salesman said he’ll continue to investigate on his end if he hears anything further. Otherwise back to square one for now.
What happens if you plug it in?
