Does the HEV model allow you to put the cargo cover bar under the floor? Is there a cutout in the foam tray for you to put it under?

I have the PHEV model and i can let you guys know that we cannot do it. Because of the battery, the foam blocks it. There is the slot still on each side of the vehicle. But to put it there, you will have to remove the foam insert. Im not sure if the battery is in the way. Ill have to double check that.

The HEV has the cargo cover storage.

I took the foam tray out when I added my donut spare, so shouldn't be a problem stowing the cargo cover...once I get it.

I noted the same when I purchased the PHEV. It appears to be either the foam insert or the storage because, as you say, it is blocked otherwise.

That then is different from the ICE model. There are two covers each side that come off with a space underneath for the bar to be stored. The covers can be put back on over the bar. Foam insert does not come into play.

It is. The set up is the same so you can store the cover there --- it is just inaccessible because of the foam insert's configuration for the PHEV.

The HEV had room underneath the PHEV does not. The HEV had the two level rear deck, the PHEV does not.
