Cargo cover

I bought my Tucson HEV SEL Conv with the cargo accessory options. I didn't look into it in detail, assume it has a cargo cover to shield the cargo area. I found out it is not included (a bit surprised), and i see that hyundaiusa.com configurator does not list it either.
Any recommendation on what to purchase?
  • OEM part seems to be CWH15-AK000 , approx 140 USD ex shipping online
  • Third party vendors such as here on Amazon approx 135 USD incl shipping
  • ..?
Thanks!

I find the cargo cover to be utterly useless since the windows are darkly tinted and nobody can see your cargo anyway. Worse than useless, it's always in the way no matter where you put it. Nevertheless, I bought one because dealers are loading up their cars with this high-profit worthless item to scam extra money from customers like me. I tried to get rid of my cargo cover on ebay where a bajillion cargo covers are for sale but the hassle of packing and shipping and listing just wasn't worth it. I ended up throwing it away in disgust. Ebay is the place to go if you want a cargo cover cheap.

I don't have tinted windows - was that a dealer option for you? And isnt there space below the cargo floor to store it?
Thanks for the ebay tip, will take a look

Look again, you probably have tinted windows. Compare the back doors with the front.

The windows are tinted from the factory. There is space under the cargo floor for it until you need that space for something else. Then the cargo cover is in the way. If you don't want your car to be a trash barge that continually hauls around stuff you never use, then you can move the cargo cover into the house where it will be in the way yet again. I tried to get some value by listing it on Craigslist where nobody was interested. If you want to Ebay it, then you need a very unusual box to ship it in. Good luck finding it. I tossed my stupid cargo cover and never looked back. Darn tyranny of the marketplace. I always need to buy a car when demand is really high and dealers rape buyers.
On my previous 2 SUV’s the cargo covers sat in the garage gathering dust until they were passed to the next owner. Useless…and in the way when loading kayaking gear in the back.

Ha, you are right, i didn't look properly... It is not super dark but indeed still tinted.

Good points on the thing being in the way. Will hold off to buying one till i used the car more and better understand if I need/want one.
I agree, the cargo cover just gets in the way. If I bought instead of leased I would give it to you for the price of the shipping.

I do like my cargo cover and do keep it extended. Yes the windows are tinted but if you walk up to the car and look in tinted windows you can still see into the cargo area. I am believer that out of sight, out of mind. To me it is not that big of a deal to lift is and retract it when I want into the cargo area but each to their own.
