Have had our new gas sel standard for about a month. Have taken it on one short road trip and I have about 1200 mi on the car at this point. Over the weekend I noticed a chirping coming from the front end or what appears to be the front end. I put the vehicle in manual gear select each time it occurs and it starts in 4th gear, gets louder in 5th and then gets quieter in 6th gear.

I have not experienced any ill effects. The vehicle so far has been incredible. I'm very pleased with the cabin noise and the comfort of driving it. The car is a little floatier than my other SUV which is a 2019 Honda passport, but I am overall pleased with the purchase. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this and if this is even something I need to worry about it at this point. Could just be part of the break-in. We had a 2021 Kona for about a year and I just traded it in for the Tucson. That one had the dual clutch transmission and they state a 5,000 mile breaking. I know that this one is not the dual clutch transmission but I wonder if it has the same break in. Just thought I would share my experience in case anyone else is hearing the same thing. May take it into the dealer if it gets worse.

Nice looking car!
Thank you! We love it so far. Has decent room inside and tech is awesome! Still getting the sound coming from the front end. Trying to get it into the dealer. I have ruled out the gears and am now identifying it by speed. Really hearing the whine between 30 - 40 mph and 65 - 75 mph but it is present at all times.

Thanks for the reply, i'm from Europe and we don't have this configuration here, only the 1.6 t-gdi smart stream is available.
Already placed my order at the start of the month ( manual transmission as well because I don't have much faith in the 7DCT after the Valeo belt assembly fiasco on the diesel model ).
Really hope you solve your issue !
Best of luck !

Just a quick update, the sound is getting dramatically worse. Hyundai dealers in my area have been unable to get me in anytime soon. I finally finagled one of them into letting me drop it off June 10th. The sound is now occurring at all speeds and regardless of RPM. It is especially horrible at slow speeds. I have tried to link a video to it so that you can hear it. Still not quite sure if it's the transmission, transfer case, tensioner? But this time I'm having to cancel a road trip because I have no confidence in this vehicle that is a month and a half old with only 1600 mi on it.2022 Hyundai Tucson Engine/Transmission noise

Just an update. Dealer called and said it was the transfer case. Hyundai was able to get the part in about 2 weeks and I picked up the car last week. Sound is gone! I took it to Korum Hyundai. Dealer was great and I am very satisfied by the response. It is always unnerving when something goes wrong, especially when it is just a sound. You hope they can hear it too. Will update if it returns!
