Currently looking to get and install the 70mai Dash Cam Pro Plus A500s ( front + rear cam package )
Already have the 70mai pro with the GPS module on my Hyundai i30 and I'm very pleased by the quality of the recording and materials.
It also saved me during an insurance claim when I overtook an vehicle and hit my windshield on a construction lane delimiter.
The insurance inspector didn't found my explanation convincing but after seeing the recording everything was in order ( the camera detected the impact and automatically saved a couple of.minutes before and after the incident, pretty awesome i would say )
If someone has fitted this would be grateful for some tutorials.
Want to connect it to the car battery as well for extended parking surveillance.
Thanks !

You would need to connect the mirror power to a different, always on source. I don't know what that would do having the mirror on to a battery sitting for days. Otherwise making a connection to a power source for the camera pretty much defeats the reason to get the adaptor. If it is more than you want to do, might be worth getting a professional who wires in stereo systems etc to route the wire so that it is hidden to an always on power source.

Good luck on a simple, clean install on the rear camera, unless the rear camera is a wireless unit. You will almost certainly have to run a wire into the rear hatch, like I did with my Honda Element. Doable, but no walk in the park.

Yes, i expect a bit more work to wire both cameras toghey and also hide the wires pretty good.
Regarding the wiring to the car's battery ,guess i will go ask my brother who has already done this on his car, an electrical engineer would be recommend for sure

My response was not about the camera being connected to a hot source, people do that. It's the mirror that Hyundai does not keep on all the time - how much does that draw over a couple of days and the camera.

Has anyone installed a dash camera yet on NX4 Tucson ? Looks really simple and clean with the Dongar power adapter.
I installed a real simple Apeman unit. I mounted it to the left of the rear view mirror, near the top of the windshield. I had to attach it on clean glass. The suction won’t stick to the blackout dots behind the mirror. I believe a better unit could attach behind the mirror.

I replaced my dashcam with the BlackVue DR900X-2CH Plus and LTE module. I have it hard wired using an add-a-fuse in an empty fuse that only provides power when on. That travels in the door sal to under my seat to the Blackvue B-124X Power Magic Ultra Battery Pack and 2 B-124E (roughly 40 hours on battery).

The power cable then travels back up to the camera mounted just under the mirror, the back camera travels the same path as the power but goes to the back of the car instead of under my set. The LTE module travels along the other side of the car to the module in the back.

The only visible cables are on both sides of the front where it goes from under the door's seal to inside the car over the piler. I didn't want to mess with the airbags there so I didn't hide them, and I didn't hide the cable in the rear. To hide the rear camera's cable I would have needed to drill out a little for the cable in the plastic cover of the rear hatch, didn't want to do that.

For the rear, if your area has a headliner replacement place they are adept at getting wiring hidden/installed too. (Besides a stereo place) They can go from the extra cig lighter plug to where you put your rear camera. Then you would switch the connection for that plug to an always on one in the fuse box.

I suggest you buy Dash Mirror because the rear windows is small and dark when we you drive in dark street. I already have 70mai dash cam. After drive in dark street, I have to buy new dash mirror to make sure I can see what happen behind my car.
