Dear admins, I’ve bought TWO Tucsons in one month.

Whatever the deal is with my threads getting censored. You win. I went to a lot of trouble to share real information from someone who bought TWO of these, but it’s cool. I got the message.
Good luck with the forum… everyone values a forum without free speech.
I wish you’d have sent me a message… I don’t get it… mostly positive real-world info from a buyer of TWO TUCSONS(?)
No place for that here? Okay… got it.

I didn’t post this latest thread to sound “braggy”… I expected whoever is deleting my other posts to be the only one to see it.

I haven’t found anything online that conveys the trim differences as clearly as I tried to convey in one of my deleted threads. I didn’t see it as negative in any way, but I came back expecting someone to appreciate it… instead, gone.

Wow, NICE. I like the blue color but the color wasn't deep enough to my liking and the gray was awesome however I bought the red one because it had the premium package that I wanted., If the lot had the premium package in gray or silver I would have bought one of those. Congrats on getting 2 of those.

Honestly, it’s complicated. This gray is potentially replacing the blue. Right now I have two. One of my deleted threads was asking opinions on the gray (not the color, but the deal/situation).

I wanted to have a thread detailing trim levels and features in hybrid vs non-hybrid. That was my other deleted thread.

Now I’m wondering if this whole forum is moderated, or sort of a big promo-only page with occasional negative comments seeping through the AI (or admins)… who knows, but I can tell you I wish I had found the conversation I want to have here… before I chose a powertrain and trim level.

I have no complaints, and I love the Tucsons, but the spread of features-trims could be confused, or flat-out missed, by many shoppers.

The limited-top versions are the best, as they should be (that’s my blue one) and it’s funny how all the YouTubes spend time on the same things… while barely clearing up the trim comparisons.

post negative stuff, i want to read the criticism as bad experiences voiced can help the brand correct them.

For example,. we don't even get that BLUE in canada, on any trims.

What power trains?ICE/HEV/PHEV?
Honestly it’s not even negative stuff… it’s “clarity”. And that blue is gorgeous in person. ;-)

But… the Amazon Gray is great too, and honestly I love all the colors.

For example on features, the limited grill LOOKS the same in pics, and “black” vs “black chrome”… I thought they’d look almost identical in person, but the black chrome is absolute more refined, even the edges are more finished, and the running lights are smoked AND have a reflective surface, so they genuinely look like the rest of the grill… literally.
I’ll also bet nobody noticed the bottom front trim is chrome… and the skidplate is finished.

What power trains?ICE/HEV/PHEV?
Yes, nothing negative, but the trim “upgrades” vary a bit with ICE vs HEV… I probably didn’t research enough to realize, vs just going on what was currently (or soon) available.

I may even be in the minority on this… the rest of you might say “duh” to my observations. I’m hesitant to just re-type what was deleted last time.

That’s the sort of stuff I believe should be in a “shopper’s reference” of sorts.

In the USA you pretty much MUST live in (or buy in, with an out-of-state penalty) certain states to get a PHEV.

I don’t know if the actual trim comparisons are consistent in other countries, but in the states, desirable features trade back and forth a bit.

Personally, I don’t like the push-button transmission. If you haven’t tried it, drive one and make a 3-point turn, you’ll see my point pretty quickly… or check out my car wash thread, being able to bump your car from N back to D without the brakes is a luxury you never knew you had.

So is a stick, a “desirable feature”? In my opinion, yes, but that’s also impossible if a Hybrid is important to you.

If that’s important ENOUGH to you, put a ✔ in the N-Line and the NON-Hybrid models BELOW Limited.

Here’s another one that most shoppers may not care about, but I found noteworthy, if you get a Limited or Hybrid SEL Convenience, you get Michelin Primacy AS. Everything else gets Nexen or Kumho (or similar)… for me, that’s another considerable feature.

That’s the sort of stuff I think should be in a shopper’s reference. A video for this would be great coming from someone who already does car videos. Honestly I think information like that is valuable even just in a list. I have no clue why a forum based entirely on all the levels of a specific model, would censor a conversation about these features.

I’m probably not making a video, but I’m tempted to, just for a feeling of value in my past month’s buying… er, “silliness.”

Also notice the nature of the internet, and why I’ll probaby fade here… the guy who says “prove it” doesn’t even acknowledge the proof… and the guy saying “post negative stuff” also “out”.
