My new Tucson with less than 400 miles is now displaying check engine lite, for the 2d time! I embarrassed the dealer into fix it first time because all the dealer prep was not done prior to delivery, Now the light is on again and I must wait 2 weeks for an appointment in Phoenix. Called another dealer and they want 3 weeks delay. My scanner code reports P2181,power train cooling system performance. It is 110+ F. In AZ now, isn't this ridiculous? Beautiful cars, can't get service in acceptable Time? Any ideas? Thanks

10 year 100K warranties for 100's of thousands of cheap cars, slapped together. What did you expect? The first priority is Genesis customers, period. Check out any Toyota or Mazda dealership. No, wait, free loaner cars and hardly any new cars being serviced.

Ignore "Skepticdom88". Toyotas have the worst crash ratings, and don't fix the problems. The wait time is due to an engine recall. Sorry don't know much more than that. My Limited has been waiting for a part for 3+ weeks now, may be another two weeks! UGH! Oh, reset the code, and watch your temp gauge, if it overheats ya got a problem, if not your okay.

When I ask for an oil change the dealer will also do a 22 point safety inspection for free. This checking for burned out bulbs, cabin air filters, worn out wiper blades takes more time to get the oil change done. This looking for stuff is a money maker for the dealer, however it limits the number of vehicles that can be serviced per day.
My 2022 Hyundai has been in three different times in 3 week for the same problem and they can't find a fix. How many other vehicles keep going back again and again limiting the number of vehicle appointments that can be scheduled and driving up the wait time for service?
Eventually running a business this way has to cause problems in wait times.

What's the problem the vehicle is having?
