Digital Key

I know when I purchased my 22 hybrid Tucson Limited, they said that the Digital Key was still being developed for Apple. IT has been about 6 months, does anyone know the status of it? It almost makes me want to go Android! (NOT the MyHyundai app)

lets hope so!!!
Or you could live in Canada and not have this functionality at all 😓
I just bought the key card and keep it in my wallet (exactly the same size as a credit card). Best backup key ever. Unlocks and locks the doors and starts the engine. The manual says you need an Android phone to program or a visit to your dealer, but I just put the key card on the wireless charging pad and laid BOTH remotes on it and went through the menus to program it (after I went to the dealer and he said I could just do that)

Apparently the 2023 Palisade will have something called "Digital Key 2 Touch" - which allows iPhones to have digital key but I wonder if this will also come to other 2022 vehicles such as the Tucson PHEV - does anyone have any ideas?
NOT having this on my '22 Tucson SEL has been/will be an immense annoyance. Like... to the level that I wish I would have waited on the '23 (if it has it). Super frustrating.

? The real advantage imo is the key card and you can do that now independent of having an Iphone.
It can be programmed in one of two ways with a borrowed Android phone or without an Android phone.

I get that. I just ordered a card for $30 + $8 shipping on the whim it works. I don't HATE it.. just wish it all worked off my iPhone. I can pay for items off my phone, and all these states are moving towards digitizing licenses. If I could just carry one thing in my pocket...deep sigh oh well.

Definitely not a whim, I programmed a neighbor's with no problem with my Android phone. No phone needed once the card is paired. Several have posted using the two fobs way works also.

Not saying the phone key is not reliable, I have only tried it once but the key card has never failed, once you get how to use it. (Horizontal, and hold it along the handle don't swipe it or tap it or move it.)
I'm still confused on actual use-case for this. Are any of you running with just the digital key and not the fob under normal circumstances? Or is it really just for the lost-key-on-vacation situation?

Digital key, or digital key card? I never use the digital key from my phone. I often use the digital key card. We live nearly at the beach and go there alot. Much easier to take the card and not worry about it getting wet or sand in it etc....
It does work as a great back up also having it in my wallet at all times.
I have the key card. Tried to program with 2 key fobs as per you tube.

it keeps saying digital key not saved

2022 phev limited
Can you store nfc card in iphone case and have it work?
You can do this with Bluelink app, except after 3 years you have to pay to get it working. They should let the Bluelink at least open the doors, so on a trip you can remove the battery from the fob hide it somewhere in the car. If fob is lost, you can open door with Bluelink and get the other fob, insert the battery and not stuck somewhere far from home.

I tried this and while it works for the center console for starting the vehicle, it will not work while locking/unlocking from either driver nor passenger door handle.. Mine will not even work through my wallet even if I place it closest to the door handle with only a thin piece of leather in between. It seems the door handle reader doesnt like obstructions in front or back. I tried placing an old credit card without rfid or the chip behind the digital key card and it still would lock/unlock the door.. I dont know if sensitivity of the reader can be adjusted. BTW i have no trouble with fob in my pocket and when i grab the handle it immediately unlocks. For me, the digital key card, when it comes to the locks, is complete madness. I not removing the card from my wallet to scan it.
Thanks so much. It definitely saved me some headache
