Engine Idle Stop n Go

The Engine Idle Stop n Go on my wife's NLine works sporadically. One minute it works and the engine shuts down and then the very next stop light it doesn't. Took it in to the dealer for an oil change and this issue. They said that certain parameters need to be met with sensors in order for it to work and in the winter it is hard to meet those parameters. I don't know anything about it but I am thinking that's incorrect and that there is an issue. It's not really a big deal but more annoying. Has anyone else had this issue and if so was it corrected?

They are correct. I often forget to turn it off, and it sometimes just doesn't work. If you don't brake hard enough, it won't shut off, if you have certain heating/ cooling set, it won't turn off, and if your engine hasn't warmed up to temp, it also won't turn off. Honestly, I would wait till spring and summer to really make the call because it is most finicky in the winter when you want the engine running anyways.

My wife keeps her side at 80 degrees, and I notice until the engine is fully warm it won't hit "EV" mode at all.

My bad, yours is the hybrid. That I cannot give solid answers on. I just have the ole' fossil burner version, but I did find the info in the manual described it as well a bit better.
