Look here to enter your VIN number to search for any recalls: Hyundai - Recalls
Nothing comes up for it. But got the letter regardless with my VIN number on it. Weird.
That's not how it works. That is for recalls only that are not common and if there was an actual recall you would get a direct message from Hyundai. When you enter your VIN you would see only a recall that exists that has not been done to your car yet.

As has been posted in other threads most all are TSB - campaign -related - meaning Hyundai has found something needs to be changed, updated, fixed but is of no emergency and isn't being forced to do it. That's what this is, a software update managing the battery.

Ya, but I still got the letter, and it has not been done yet to the car. The website says "safety recalls and service campaigns", and the letter is a service campaign notice, but still does not show on this website when I type in my VIN number.
It's because of a misunderstanding of how the site works. When you put in your VIN you get any recalls not yet done. You don't get service campaigns. Those are indeed on the site but you go the section where TSB's are and see if any apply.
You don't get service campaigns with a VIN because only Hyundai keeps track of who had them done not the NHTSA.
