Yeah there are some settings but it is pretty annoying.
You can check "Car Infotainment System" manual ( page 9-55) but here is the image of what you want to look for - to adjust settings.Hello. I just got my Tucson Hybrid. I've noticed this. If you're using Carplay or Android Auto with music and maps, during nav guidance the front speakers mute the music and it comes only from the rear speakers. Has anyone experienced the same and is there a fix? Instead of muting the music completely from the front speakers can it be faded? My old CRV never muted the music from the front speakers during nav guidance. TIA

I have Android phone - thus, Android Auto, not Apple CarPlay. At this moment I am not in the car but if I am not mistaken, when phone is connected to the car system and is in Android auto mode - I used additional settings on my phone as well as in the car Infotainment Android Auto menu settings. See if you can check similar settings on your iPhone/car as well.I unchecked all those and its doesn't change the apple play muting
I think the navigation settings apply when you have in-vehicle navigation, not with CarPlay. I have the fader set so more sound comes from the rear speakers than the front, so even when the front gets muted, I can still hear the music. Besides, if you're using CarPlay to take you to a destination, isn't it helpful to hear the directions? I don't find that annoying at all. I'd be annoyed if my music was so loud that I missed my freeway exit.Hello. I just got my Tucson Hybrid. I've noticed this. Ya, me too (user of Waze and Google Maps) ... I'd much rather miss some music than a navigation direction!I think the navigation settings apply when you have in-vehicle navigation, not with CarPlay. No I don't ever listen to the directions, if I have the map up I am usually able to read it well ahead of time to take the right exit. Typically listening for me got the exit too late or way too soon and it was really annoying.Besides, if you're using CarPlay to take you to a destination, isn't it helpful to hear the directions?
I'm not sure about apple car play, but using Google maps with my android in my old Tucson, I could mute the navigation voice guidance. It was a speaker symbol on the touchscreen that you would select. If you can do that, it will solve your issue. No I don't ever listen to the directions, if I have the map up I am usually able to read it well ahead of time to take the right exit.
