Where is the interior fuel door opener located on a Tucson Preferred?

I don't think there is one, if the car is unlocked just push on the door and it pops out

Correct, there is no interior unlocking method. Once doors are locked just push on the gas lid .

On the PHEV, there is a button on the lower dash, to the left of the steering wheel. You cannot push the outside fuel filler door to open it, you must use the button inside.

Thanks, as most Asian car brands have the fuel (gasoline) filler door release inside of the car, usually beside the driver on the floor by the driver's door area, to me this is very important!

Ya, it'd be a shame to ditch the car after the initial tank of gas from the dealership ran out!

But I'm talking about the gas engine 2.5 liter non turbo, sorry that I didn't specify the model that I'm getting.
