Great to be on board!

My wife and I first put money down on her retirement gift; a '22 Tuscon Hybrid Limited last May and received it a month ago Jan 15th. What a blast to drive! Comfortable quiet and fun. It was worth the wait. I was glad to find this forum and I've already gotten worthwhile information from here regarding the 12v battery discharge and trickle charging. We live in cold climates for a few months of the year so I have a call into the dealer regarding attaching a permanent charger hook-up and whether or not Hyundai has one or recommends a specific brand/model. I'm also looking to see if attaching one in a permanent or semi-permanent fashion will affect the warranty status. I'm looking forward to getting to know folks here and hearing about their experiences! It's great to hear so many people happy with their choice. I know we are!
Also, as this is my first Hybrid and I live in winter conditions for long periods of the year, any tips, tricks or information would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! I'm in Ontario so also cold in winter. I have a hybrid Ultimate in Amazon Grey. Mileage will be affected by cold weather, but also until it is broken in. In my first 250km I averaged 8.9 litres per 100km. Now that I am at 500km the average is down to 8.1. On a trip this morning, my last 10 minute drive from my last stop gave me 6.8 l per 100km. Not bad given the cold and low mileage.

Thank You! We live in Park City, Utah and it was 8°F last night. My wife made a trip to Salt Lake City yesterday and was dismayed at the mileage. I reminded her the engine keeps running to keep your feet warm and it only has 500 miles on it. We did take a drive in it when it was warmer, on much more flat terrain and in Eco Mode the mileage was outstanding! Thanks for responding!
