Headlight black triangle

I have a 2022 limited hybrid. I've noticed an annoying upside down "triangle" within the left, top portion of the headlight beam. Before I speak with the dealership about an adjustment, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this as well?

Yes. Noticeable driving. Visible after dark in both left and right beam pattern on dark wall surface when pulled close.
Same issue here...curious to how you get this solved
There's a lengthy thread about this on another Tucson forum. Bottom line is that is how the headlight pattern was designed. It's performing as intended. Has something to do about not blinding oncoming traffic and the position of the headlights.

Must be expected as I had this explained to me as a feature at the dealership. They were discussing how you've probably encountered a number of aftermarket LED headlights that were very bright and annoyingly in your face and the dark spot fixes that. I notice it much less with the brights on too.

Agreed re the placement, when seen on the road, it appears to be about where the driver of an oncoming vehicle would be situated. As they don’t have auto adjusting beams, that is one way to be kind to other drivers. Unlike the Honda / Toyota approach of full beams in your face.
Thanks for everyone's feedback.

I have the same issue and find it distracting at times, wish Hyundai could do something about,, high beams there's no issue,, but on low beams, the "fangs" as I call them show up

I personally don't find this distracting whatsoever. I think the headlights on the Tucson are very good. Much better than our Lexus RX350.

I live where there are many deer and other animals that like to cross the road. This dark spot is mostly distracting when going through freeway curves. It seems to shift from 12 o'clock to 10 when going straight. Is it moving? I don't know but it feels like it. With so much wildlife I need to be scanning the road constantly and intently at night. You bet, this is distracting. If it wasn't a black spot it wouldn't be so bad. I should note that in a straight line it kind of disappears so sometimes not even noticeable.

I have the same issue with my 2022 hybrid limited, also when going downhill I can't see around the curve, actually had to stop if there was a car in front and wait for them to get out of sight so I could use my high beems to see the turn in the road. Not very happy about it and it is dangerous. I previously owned a 2019 and did not have the issue.

make sure your cat isn’t sitting in front of your Tucson!
They are mounted really low and don't illuminate the overhead freeway sighs. That's my only complaint. I might look into adjusting them up a little. Don't want blind on coming vehicle though.
I just got my 2022 Limited two weeks ago and noticed the headlights were aimed low from factory as my cutoff was approximately 5 painted divided lines in front of vehicle. Took it to the dealership to have them adjusted and they raised them so high my cutoff was visible on overpasses. Adjusted them down to where I felt was best and will evalutate if they need to go a tick lower based on if get flashed or not.

How do you adjust the level? Is there a set screw or something?

Yes there are adjustment screws. You will need a long #2 phillips screwdriver to reach down the shaft. It's identified by a yellow cone.

Along with my 2022 Tucson Limited our 2021 Palisade Limited also has the butt crack headlight pattern as well.

So, when your headlights go on, you’re projecting little butts in front of your Tucson? I bet the drivers next to you just love it🤪!
