Heads Up For Folks Using The Inventory Search On The HyundaiUSA Web Site

I'm searching the East Coast for a specific model and configuration using the HyundaiUSA web site inventory search. I happened to run the identical search using Chrome and Firefox. Chrome returned two vehicles. Firefox returned those two plus a third vehicle that appears to be a new listing. (The difference is probably on the HyundaiUSA web site. Different code can be run depending on the browser being used.)

If you are using the HyundaiUSA inventory search, you might want to use Firefox or cover your bets by using both browsers.

(I've got a case of beer or several bottles of good wine for anybody that can find me a Tucson Plug-in Limited in white with gray interior (and $2K or less "Market Adjustment".)

I just make a website that query directly from Hyundai API: https://hiepcs.com/hyundai
I will update it so you can select the model and show more information.

I want to search the Tucson Limited PHEV models
Schweet!

I think the basic search parameters would be (Tucson) Model (ICE, HEV, PHEV, All), Trim (or All), Exterior Color (or All), Interior Color (or All).

you still waiting for your PHEV?

Yes. I have a deposit down at one dealer and am on watch lists at several others. Many of the cars on allocation are pre-sold before they leave the boat. I'm hoping to luck into one that is still available right after it appears in the HyundaiUSA inventory.

Maybe you could monetize this. I'd pay $20-$25 for a service that would check HyundaiUSA inventory once an hour or so and notify me if something matching my search parameters popped in.

I used a service called Authority Auto...they were able to find me a deep sea blue with gray interior PHEV Tucson limited and negotiate for only 3k over MSRP, plus some dealer add ons that I actually cared about/will use and it only took a couple weeks for them to track one down. They charged me $895 to do it, but that was way less than the 10-12k most dealerships were charging and would not budge in my area and the only thing I had to do was look at some emails of quotes and on the day it got delivered, went into the dealership and signed the paperwork.
What I can loading from data that hyundai provide then add filter into it like interior and exterior colors :D
But for the car that is deposit, it will dissapear from the API so you will need to input the VIN manually to check that.

Veeeery interesting. I'll call them next week. Thanks!
I make some update so you can find with the model, and then you can filter with color in the table

Thanks! Is there room for Interior Color on the display? Do you have a decode for Status?
I will update the decode for status. For the interior color, they are using some color code and I can not decode that.
Hey, thanks for this!!

Yeah, the interior color would be great if the API is updated and you can figure out the color codes.

O M G I wish I'd had that awhile ago - sure would have been better than my approach which was to first look up all the dealerships in the 11 states that were getting them and reach out to each and get on their spam lists lol - Does anyone know how to decode the Status ("aa" "ds" "pn" "tt")?

I have the same question. My status is DS.

Was yours a special configured order, or a presale on incoming inventory (or something else)? Mine is a presale and shows a status of IR. Just thinking we can possibly figure out some of the codes if we get enough datapoints.

I guess my was a presale on an allocation that they just found out about. They didn't even know about it until I asked them to check and there it was. This was on November 20, 2021. Later on their website showed a delivery data of 1/4/20202, then it changed to 12/30/2021, then it was changed to several different dates in January 2022. Using Kieb's webpage it shows a delivery date of 2/13/2022 and status of DS. Other web sites has said that DS stands for dealer stock but I don't believe that since I went there yesterday and it wasn't to be found. I really can't believe that a big company like Hyundai really doesn't know, or won't tell, where their cars are.
In my understanding
IR: In route
TN: Transit
AA: At sea
PA: Port allocated (at port)
DS: Dealer stock
My car is in TN status, but when I check around, there is some cars's status keep changing back and forth between TN and DS

Thank you! That makes sense and seems more obvious once pointed out ;)
I was hoping there was an easy status code that would designate whether something was still technically "available" for purchase vs a presale. I've already bought mine, but now I'm super curious since I took a much more manual route.
