Hi friends. I just ordered my new Tucson Hybrid Ultimate on August 31. In Canada they come as either Luxury or Ultimate. I've been told it will be 4 to 6 months before it comes in. Sounds pretty standard from what I have seen on this site. To those already driving their hybrid, how is the gas mileage vs projected?

Hi there! Mind asking, where in Canada are you from? Asking because it seems that the waiting time is growing day by day. I asked back in July and it was 3 to 4 months.

I'm in Hamilton. How about you?
Welcome. I'm averaging around 30 miles per gallon here. On the highway I get just under 33 mpg, but that's at an average of 75 miles per hour. From what I understand, the highway figures are calculated at 50 mph, so I'm happy with that. I have just under 2000 miles on it. I was hoping for a bit higher on the combined. We do love the vehicle though.

hi there, Toronto, ordered on July 30th. After the initial 3 to 4 months estimate, I havent asked again. I'll wait until the 2 month mark to ask for an update.
Calgary. Ordered Ultimate mid Aug. Probably won't see it til next year.

Yes. If mine is 4 months it will be a Christmas present and if 6 months it will be a birthday present!
I've heard that in the U. S. they get 3 years of scheduled maintenance included. Does anyone know if it is the same in Canada? I've also heard that the warranty terms are different.

I’m in Ottawa and just bought a Hybrid one week ago. The dealer told me I should expect to wait between 10 and 14 weeks maximum. I’m hoping to get it before Christmas.

Congratulations @ott_tuc! Welcome to the forum! Were you looking at any other SUVs before going with the Tucson?

Hello there! Thanks for the greetings. So I had in mind some options, all very different from one another. I was looking at the new Ford Bronco (not the sport), Mustang Mach E and Hybrid Rav4. I know that that the Bronco doesn’t blend with the other options, but I really enjoy the look of it. The MPG made me think again.

After lots of research, decided that the best option for today was the Hybrid Tucson, not only for the price, but for the standard features and (in my opinion) a fully electric car for us that like to take the road is not practical if it’s not a Tesla.
Hi All - I'm also from Ottawa, Canada!

Ordered our Tucson HEV Ultimate May 26th, arrived Aug 12th (while we were out-of-town), took delivery Aug 20th. Now at just over 2000km.

Having replaced a 2012 BMW X1 with this Tucson HEV (though I still have my 2016 340i xDrive, 6 spd), I must say I'm VERY impressed. Excellent value overall with decent performance (handling and power), very quiet and refined drive, tons of space and tech (though missing HUD & power folding mirrors).

So far, so good - no engine pinging, no weird headlight shadow area, and no loose license plate light!

That said, extremely UNDERWHELMED by the dealerships and lack of customer service/orientation (I've dealt with 2 so far)!

Where did you buy your in Ottawa? Placed an order at hunt club 2 weeks ago with a top of 14 weeks to receive the car.

Bought from Pathway in Orleans. Bank St quoted me a good price but they didn’t have one for me to test drive (even though they said they did) and seemed dodgy overall.

Pathway was far from perfect, but seemed to have more integrity.
Ohh I see. I did a test drive with them on a luxury hybrid, the one I ended up buying. They basically bought my used car for almost the same price I bought it last year. This made me close the deal. Just waiting now to see if I will actually get the car on time.
