Have hybrid turbo limited for about 3 weeks. Beautiful car; acceleration is awesome. Doors will not open with key fob. Will not open with blue link. Get open with key. Will not start. Have to jump it from hybrid battery. Yes, there is a button that you can push that tells the car to jumpstart itself. Went online and found another owner with this problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Car goes into dealer on July 5.

Howdy. Just had this issue this morning. Woke up to an email from Bluelink telling me there was a battery problem. Went to the garage and the car was dead. It’s a 2022 Tucson Hybrid SEL. Used the button the on the dash to reset battery. Started up after scaring the crap out of me. The horn is loud and it blows after pressing the reset button. Drive it around and will call dealer in awhile.

Quick follow up. Car ran fine all day, but the radio display went dark. Restarted the car and display came back.
bad thing is dealer doesn’t have appointment until 7/19 with ZERO loaners available. This sucks.

Had this issue twice now, thought i had left something switched on, didnt know about reset button but do now. AA recovery service told me to reset battery and start engine within 15 seconds and then let it run for 30 minutes. Only had the car for just over 6 weeks, very pleased with it apart from this issue.

My 2022 Tucson Limited PHEV, the first one delivered in the area north of Boston, experienced a dead 12-volt battery after returning from a week-long cruise. We have had the vehicle for approximately two months on October 13th. To be very clear, there is apparently no 12V Battery Reset button on the PHEV as illustrated in the video. Had to call Hyundai Roadside Assistance and wait over an hour to get the battery jump-started. It was complicated by the fact that my Level-2 Charging Cable was still connected to the vehicle, and it couldn't be removed until the technician applied power to the battery because I have it set up to stay locked to the vehicle until it is unlocked. Note that it will not unlock the cable if the door is opened with the unlock. Just unlock only and then the cable will release.

I don't understand why Hyundai has decided to not include a 12V Battery Reset capability with the PHEV as that was one of the features I was looking forward to because it was included on the HEV version.

I think Hyundai believed the battery reset feature was necessary for the 12-V lithium polymer battery because it is only 15ah capacity. That's a marginal capacity for its application and more likely to run low. The 12-v pb-acid battery on the PHEV is 45ah capacity (I think. Look at your battery to confirm.) and much less likely to run low. Why did Hyundai choose to give some HEVs and PHEVs pb-acid batteries and not the much lighter, smaller lithium polymer batteries? Don't know.

Page 01-37 in your manual shows an emergency release near the hybrid battery in case your 12 volt battery dies. Your 12 volt battery is maintained by your hybrid battery unless that system is disabled. Page 01-43 explains that your 12 volt battery should be maintained by a system called the "Aux battery saver". It might have been disabled.

We have a new 2022 Tucson Limited PHEV for 3 weeks and had the same problem this weekend. The battery was low so I assumed it would drive on gas no problem. My daughter took it to the supermarket and then was not able to start it when she got out of the store. AAA needed to come jump start it and all was OK. Then I plugged in the charger at my house 120V so it i a very slow charge. At 24 hours it was charged 54%, we unplugged the charge because we expected a storm. I checked the charge this morning on the bluetooth link at is it down to 18%. Has anyone else had problems with it holding a charge?

That seems to be far too much discharge overnight. Sounds like a bad 12 volt battery draining your traction battery but you should get it checked out asap. I think you can put a charger on your 12 volt battery but check the manual for the procedure. Also, in the hev, the traction battery charges fairly quickly in "sport" mode You can take a short drive to see if that will charge up the traction battery more quickly until you get it looked at. I would avoid driving in ev mode until I figure out what is wrong.

2022 Tucson Limited PHEV
So the issue is ongoing, I needed to call roadside assistance three times in the last 2 weeks. My 2022 Tuscan will not start and I can not lock the doors. Today I got two jump starts but both times, once I turn the car off it will not start again and I can not lock the doors. The car has only 400 miles on it and we have it for only a month.
It is at the dealer now because I didn't want to leave it on the street unlocked
