This Swiss YouTube auto reviewer has posted multiple review videos for the Tucson. This is a new video driving in deep snow. (I don't know if the Canadians will consider it deep. I'm a Southern boy.)

Several months ago I asked him if he would choose the RAV4 Prime or Tucson Plug-in Hybrid. He likes both, but said he would choose the Tucson.

I wanna know how he has camera mode always enabled... mine hops out of the cameras after slight speeds...
Huh, that's interesting, it's supposed to pop back over out of camera view with a little speed, but you're right he drives an extended period at speed with it running. His actually does do the expected behavior around 14:22 when he's talking about the camera but then starts to drive and it pops out but then he activates it again and (to your observation) thereafter it stays up (when it shouldn't per design) until 17:20 when he actively changes it. Wonder if it was because of his quick override when it jumped out of camera? It will be a few weeks before mine arrives - I'll have to play around with that more.

I wish the Tuscon cameras would stay on. My brother has a Rav 4 and the cameras come on when coming to a stop and taking off.

Really useful feature driving in heavy city traffic with cyclists and pedestrians crossing everywhere.

With the Tuscon the cameras turn off over 15km/h. And pressing the camera button does nothing over that speed.

Perhaps Hyndai would fix that with a software update - but likely not.

@SeattleGrey or @Captain Blight

Just curious after reading the responses - were either of you able to replicate the cam actions as seen in the posted video starting at 14:14? Could it be the overseas Tucson has different camera abilities as compared to the US version? Or do those cam features only become available using different Drive Modes (ie: Snow/Mud/Sand)? Maybe there is hidden software code that can be unlocked in the US version to allow constant cam on functionality?

Honestly I totally forgot all about this by the time it arrived lol. I have at times tapped the camera button when pulling forward but never at speed. Unfortunately an inattentive driver ran a red and I no longer have my PHEV so can no longer test at this point :cry:
