I got a text from my dealer today and said that instead of my “spaceship” Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD (gas) coming in June, it now has a date of July 7th and still no VIN number. With that being said, he also doesn’t have the exact price for me. I’ve already put money down on it since I wanted pearl/shimmer white exterior but they were being sold out so I had to put money down on one that was going to, eventually, be on its way here to Idaho. Is this normal? Why shouldn’t I just order a 2023 now. I would probably get it sooner. Haha. But seriously, is anyone else having issues like this? Shouldn’t the spec sheet at least have the prices? Mine literally says TBD (see attachment) i

Mine had a vin and a final price when I put a deposit and then we waited 2 months. I think if you don’t have vin., it’s not even being built yet. I’m surprised they’re still scheduling builds instead of gearing up for production of ‘23 models. I guess there will be no major changes though since 2022 is all new style.

That’s what I was thinking. Why no VIN or price. The million dollar question, why not get a 2023 at this point. So I did some research and they don’t have a date for release in the 2023’s yet. I’m also thinking that if the 2023’s do come out and people are still waiting on 2022, the price should go down. The they are considered “leftovers” although they will fight with anyone on lowering the price because it was “ordered” before. I hope that makes sense. I am getting a bit frustrated being in the dark. People are saying there is a Hyundai site you can go on to track your car. I don’t even have that info. If anyone out there does have the site information to track a vehicle, could you please post it here? I would really appreciate it! Thank you for getting back to me Steve I really appreciate it have a great day!

can’t track without vin #. Dealers are truly in the dark as well, ours didn’t have any knowledge until I got the call the it showed up.

I missed the 2022 orders by a few days and I had to put a deposit on a 2023 Tucson N Line white. After 2 months, the dealer still doesn't have any price list or any idea as to when the production will start. I was lucky enough to find a 2022 Toyota Highlander XSE that will be delivered early June this year. I feel kinda bad because I've been buying from Hyundai since 1997 but it was too uncertain to try to deal with the dealership without even knowing basic informations (price and delivery).

Your dealer most likely won't get a VIN and window sticker with pricing until your vehicle is on the ship.Even then, the window sticker may say something like "Not official. Subject to change." That's what the one I have says, with delivery scheduled for 5/23. To my knowledge, you're either getting one of the last 2022s to roll out of Korea, or you may get surprised and get a 2023. Everything I've heard says they're note even accepting orders on '23s yet. Also, sounds like they haven't determined what "port adds" will be on your car. Those are accessories that are added at the port by Hynudai, and you won't have any choice there.

The OP (original poster) is buying an ICE, not EV/PHEV. Those are not made in Korea. They are made in more domestically.

This information is also provided in VIN. First digit 2 is North America. K is Korea.

The MSRP based on the information in your picture is $39,040.

Now you just have to see how much freight is and if they will add a mark up.

And delays are just the way it is.
I locked in an ICE Limited (no hybrids available anywhere) with a delivery date of May 14. Every time the day comes it gets pushed back 2 days.
Latest shows a delivery today, May 28 but I expect looking at it tomorrow will show may 30th.

If you can get the VIN you can track it here.

For anyone willing to travel to get an ICE, and even a hybrid there are dealers who have them on the lot. The one here has had Hybrids most days on the lot not spoken for, of course they do get sold. Almost unlimited ICE versions all the time, trucks literally deliver daily, not an exaggeration. (This dealer is the largest in the United States) No MSRP markup.

Just one of 4 on the lot today. I saw two coming off the truck, they had two on the lot. All show as available. This dealer apparently does not show them online if they arrive spoken for as mine was. Before delivery they told me it was coming exactly what I wanted and I put a deposit before the truck arrived. I saw it come off the truck as I arrived a few days later and it never was on their site as anything but in transit.

I haven't put an update on here in a long time, so I thought I should do so since everyone was so kind to respond to my ranting.. LOL I FINALLY received my "Spaceship" on June 28, 2022!!! It was everything I expected and more! I tell everyone that after I get in, I have to do my pre-flight check. Make sure the buttons are the way I want them, etc. and then I can go! LOL I have it adjusted on my phone to the way I like it setup for when I remote start it, everyday since it's been so hot, but the only thing I do not like, is that the car shuts off when it stops to save gas, but it freaks me out so I press the button to not make that happen.

Other than that, I totally LOVE IT!! Here are a few pics of my new "Spaceship"

Me doth thinks a hint of envy in that there fuming. ;) Not that I'm a husband of a wife who's also just gotten one or anything.

So, it's been 2 months and it looks like you have a Limited, and chock full of all the extra do-dads. I keep asking the Ms. how far along in the 400-page owner's manual she's up to. No growling any more, just that look though.

I do have a limited. However, I was a bit losses off because it doesn’t say it on the back. Since it’s my first limited vehicle I really want it to say it so people know. LOL. I’ll order letters and do it myself. LOL

Nice pics. I’ve been bad and not taken much photos in mine. Do you have luck with remote start on your phone? I’m having a tough time…once or twice it worked but not sure if the climate was set up. With the EV engine Im often confused whether the car is actually on when I’m in it. Often i find Bluelink Is just not that responsive.

I use remote start through Bluelink from my iPhone literally every day. It’s worked every time. After it starts it sends me a text telling me it started. You can setup the text feature within Bluelink to send you texts on the status. I hope you can figure it out. Make sure you have the latest version of Bluelink an of that doesn’t work maybe uninstall and then reinstall the app.
Good luck!!
