Is anybody else having seat comfort issues?

I purchased a 2023 Tucson Limited gas model about a week and a half ago and I have a quite positive impression of the vehicle this far. I'm coming from a 2017 CR-V so this vehicle is definitely an upgrade in most respects. However the one aspect I seem to be having issues with is the driver's seat comfort. In addition to the leather seats being quite stiff, the seat bottom seems to be excessively slanted causing poor posture regardless of the way it is set. Is anybody else having issues with the seat comfort? For anybody who has had the vehicle longer, do the seats break in and get more comfortable with time?

Make sure you are correctly using the power seat settings. I drove literally across Country and two trips between Fl and Ct, and a trip down to Key West so I have alot of seat time. For me the seats are comfortable, I don't feel at least the way I have it set the seat slants in a bad way.

I had many cars, including luxury models. I find the seats of my Tucson PHEV Luxury (Canada) one of the most confortable. As Tampa8 said, make sure you adjust the position properly.

I’ll chime in too that I think it might be an adjustment problem. These are by far the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat in. Hope you can find a setting to make them work better for you.
Yeah why don't they ever use captains chairs, with big arm rests like in the old Ford Econoline Vans.
I guess they wanted the Tucson to feel more sporty then cushy.
Comfort it depends alot on the size of your butt,
We all have the same seat but our butts are different sizes.
I'm a midget your a bodybuilder.🙃
I drove Montréal to Ft. Lauderdale 14hrs one day and 13hrs the next day. Very confortable. You need to find the sweat spot for your BUTT
it may take a while butt you ll find it.

I have a 2017 Tucson from new and it has been a great car with one exception - on a long journey I end up with terrible neck & shoulder pain. It is partly my one health difficulties, but I don’t have the same problem in my daughters Audi A1. My opinion the seat back & headrest projection prevent your shoulders reaching the seat & are therefore unsupported. Does anyone know if a company who provide a shoulder support fitting that I could purchase?
I'll second the neck pain complaint. I have no idea, though, what the problem or soluition is. I find I have to twist my head from side-to-side often on longer rides to work out the kinks that settle in.

If you get 2 throw pillows and put one under each elbow it will help. The weight of your arms are pulling on your shoulders. We learned this in nursing school. Also do not keep your wallet in your back pocket, makes your hips uneven and will cause low back pain. Also 2 pillows is cheaper and easier to try.

I have a feeling you haven t found the seating sweet spot. I was having problem with my arms, then lowered the steering wheel and now a happy camper. Lol
I've been really struggling with my seat bottom. It a 10 way adjustable electric... black cloth seat. Comes standard in the 23 SEL. I fell like I'm sitting on a board, but the angle is no issue as I can angle it up or down any amount I want. Seems like there's little to no padding. UGGGH.

So... since we're on the subject, I know these seats come in different materials beginning with the cloth seats like I have all the way up to leather. Question: is there a difference BEYOND the covering? That is, is there a difference in construction or padding as well?
Details of seat construction and materials seems like something not too many dealers' employees are going to have command of. And maybe a bit soon for upholstery shops to learn about their design. Thoughts are to try and get Customer Care's attention and willingness to find out. But then that sounds like too deep in the weeds for them even.

Conclusion: maybe hit up a dealer and ask to just sit in one or more models and trims unlike yours for comparison. And I learned all I know about aftermarket seat pads from my wife's mention many years ago that she felt her seat a bit too firm especially when doing the 2 1/2-hr. weekend commutes to our place at 'the lake'. This was long enough ago that there wasn't yet 10,000 overseas suppliers with every imaginable design, shape and quality under the sun (or absence thereof). The first one I got her was actually 'too soft', but it was so cheap I just ditched it. The next was a matrix open web gel with suede covering = perfect for her. Here's the new one I got for her, and neither too much or too little - at least for the around town puttering we're doing now. But on the very first road trip I'll be bringing the old one along in case this slick 'slim design' turns out too firm for her after a few hours:
Car Vehicle Motor vehicle Steering part Automotive design

Parting Thought: My wife's seat position has my knees hitting the dash, but I've found I need no other adjustment than just moving the seat rearward - nothing else. The most critical adjustment I've either read or learned (or both) is to move back just to where your thighs bear lightly on the front of the seat with feet on the pedals. Too much = sore knees, too little with legs in the air = crinked back. And every hour change the angle between seat and back to move the circulation around.

My back is really bad after driving the car for a few months now. Going to return it.

Interesting, i drive every day. I think that is the problem. I went from a Tesla though. Maybe also just massive levels of quality expectations.
You need to find tge sweet spot plus you may have humidity problem across the pond. Lol
I have been trying for months. At this point i just find the car to be a total waste of time. Cheap/poor electrics. Slow. Quite small. Now it is physically making me sick because of not finding the ‘sweet’ spot. Poor design imo. Glad you are happy with your. Mine will hopefully burn or get stolen ;)
I suggest you get an alternative car. Don t let this drive you crazy. good luck
