Hyundai certainly doesn't make this clear, even for us tech guys.
Let me share what I've found and realized.
We have a 2022 Tucson SEL Hybrid. You would be correct in stating that we have no navigation system.
Despite this, I ended up down the path of download the updater (yes, "Navigation Updater") assuming this covered systems with or without navigation. When I ran it, and selected Tucson 2022, there were no updates for my vehicle. Mind you, it doesn't ask what trim I have or whether I have a nav system - it's just the generic Tucson 2022. So then I think maybe it's using my login and registered vehicle? Doubtful - otherwise it wouldn't have asked me for make, model, year.
Regardless my my vehicle, if you go to
Notice | Official Hyundai Motors Navigation Update Website and drill into the (only) listed Nav map update, and then list of eligible vehicles, 2022 doesn't make the list. 2 years out on the market, and there have been no updates? Based on what I've seen on this thread, there have been updates - but they're not listed.
But, there still must be an update for the infotainment system.
Which brings me to
update.hyundai.com
NX4_HEV.USA.D2V.003.200.220927
Updates for the infotainment system use a different workflow/process. You would think they'd have a standard framework for updates, but apparently not.
Gonna go give this a whirl and see if it fixes all the disconnect issues I have with Android Auto while navigating. My current version is NX4_HEV.USA.D2V.001.003.210201
