Hey Tucson fans! I am looking to replace my 2016 Tucson with a 2022 Hybrid one... as you all know they are scarce. I have found a Luxury and wonder if it is worth it... I really want the Ultimate but not sure if i should settle on the Luxury. Thoughts?

Depends what you want... Do you need to pick your colours?
Depends when you need it. If you found one in stock good for you.

The engine is the same. They drive the same.
Do you need any of these things?

• Remote Smart Parking Assist
• Premium projector LED headlights
• 10.25" colour touch-screen with wired Apple CarPlay™Δ and Android Auto™◊ and navigation system - compared to the 8". See below. The Luxury would give you wireless AA/CP with smaller screen. Ultimate is larger, but wired only, then also includes onboard maps / dual screen mode
• Driver’s Integrated Memory System (seat only)
• 8-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat
• Personalized user profile settings
• Interior ambient lighting (64 colours)
• Surround view monitor (360 camera)
• Blind View Monitor (lane change camera)
• Highway Driving Assist
• Parking Distance Warning — Forward/Reverse
• Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist — Reverse

I have actually found a white one and a grey one.
The problem is I like the fancy extras... but then the debate is... get is right now or 7 months from now.

You might also consider how long you expect to keep the car. Sure, you might have to wait 6-7 months, but then you can enjoy driving the car you want for the next 4, 5 or more years!

For me, the biggest differentiator was the Surround View Camera - it’s used every trip because you have to park, right?!?

Anyway, with all the extra features, it was well worth the extra “coupla grand”!

I meant comparison between PHEV lux & ult and HEV lux & ult
Actually I test drove both trims , I noticed 10" system is a little bit faster but for some reason carplay did not open in whole area of the screen ,maybe because it is kind of iphone shape
Area of both screens is almost the same

Get the Limited! I took an SEL with convenience and premier pkgs, thinking it would be as the Limited trim, it is Not. It does have panoramic roof, navigation, easier to read info center, memory seats, and a few other options I could use. So, had I my druthers, I'd certainly get a Limited model, no doubt.

For sure CarPlay uses the whole 10" screen. You can go into settings and enable/disable split-screen, which allows two-thirds of the screen to be "phone projection" (as Hyundai calls it), while the other third to the far right can show other info (and you can also configure what's eligible to show up here) that you can scroll through. Possibly on your demo car, someone had previously put it into split-screen.

One of the key options that pushed me to the top trim was the surround-view camera ... LOVE that for parking, especially parallel parking!
