Malfunction Indicator Lamp

Has anyone experienced this malfunction indicator lamp? The lamp came on today while driving and has remained on. I called service and was given the earliest service appointment of April 12. I was told it’s ok to drive unless I notice lack of power - which, so far, I haven’t.
I would appreciate any input from those who may have experienced this issue. I’ll be sure to post when and how this get resolved.

That's a general check engine light. Without reading the code it would be hard to know any more.

Try this to get a code for more info:

Ours came on last week. Hybrid Ultimate. Drove right to the dealer and got them to get the code. Doesn’t make sense to wait for appointments then they will have to order the part. They checked the code, oxygen sensor. taking it in today to be replaced.
Check your gas cap. It is one of the most common issues that will trigger a check engine light. You can also go to most big chain auto parts dealers, (in the U.S. anyway,) and they will read the code for you.

Ironically, the light went out after a few days and although the error code was logged in the diagnostic report of BlueLink as “Powertrain DTC P013E00”, the staus states “closed”. I’m not sure who or how it was closed, but I have an appointment on April 12.
It will probably come back. P013E is an oxygen sensor fault and these are often intermittent at first. That's pretty cool that bluelink recorded the fault. Sure saves the hassle of going to an auto supply place to get them to read the code.

2022 Tuscon PHEV Limited, and just got this "MIL" light today. Car only has 4700 miles on it. Dealer is booked out for 10 days so will have to wait a bit to bring it in. Unfortunately, Bluelink did not log any error codes.

If you are smart you should get the code read right away so they can order the part. Only takes a minute to read a code. Otherwise you wait 2 weeks to find out what is wrong then wait 2 more weeks to get it fixed.

No dealer is ordering anything based on what a customer says thier consumer code reader said the problem is.

It has to be diagnosed at the dealer and approved with Hyundai.

Just the way it is.

Ahem, scroll up……mar 24 2022…….I went to my dealer as soon as the light went on, they read the code right then and ordered the part, I’m not that clueless.
Yep, read it as getting code read not by dealer.

Yep, read it as getting code read right away. Not seeing having the dealer read the code part.

It's all good.
