Looking at 2022 Tucson hybrid along with Honda CR-V hybrid and Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I hope to get to test drive them next week (recovering from a hip replacement). I do have a family member who works for Hyundai, so that may push me over the top.
Question is I do a lot of work on farms and travel some unmaintained roads for my work. How is the AWD handle uneven roads. and can the Tucson be lifted and add skid plates?

Thank you JD

If you need something lifted with armor, you probably should consider something like a Wrangler that would work much better out of the box for that type of driving. However, the AWD is great on the road, but it wouldn't be the best off road vehicle.

Thank you for your info. I know there's vehicles much better, but the gas mileage is horrible, reliability is poor, and a real noisy ride. I was thinking maybe getting skid plates installed and change the shocks and tires out. I am sure it will take it's toll on the mileage. My driving is 90+% hwy and 10% off road/farm roads, etc.

Makes no sense to get a hybrid then... you should read up on how they work to save gas.

Sorry I should have said 90% combined - city(60%) / hwy (40%)
