Hello all! Just purchased a 2023 Tucson SEL Convenience, which does NOT have a navigation system. iPhone maps (which display through Apple CarPlay) do NOT reflect North/South/East/West. And to all those who would criticize needing a compass, I am no Rand McNally...I NEED a compass. I purchased "old man" compasses for the dash and rearview mirror, but they don't work due to interference (metal columns, electronics, etc.) Has anyone found the sweet spot for a compass? Or a solution to this problem (please refrain from sarcasm.) :) Thanks!

Carplay has a compass mode.

Most smart phones have a compass as well. But the old man compass idea should work if you can just find a spot for it. Let us know how it turns out.

Can't thank you enough for that VERY HELPFUL tip! Worked perfectly! Until this morning, when the compass went haywire showing the exact OPPOSITE of everything - but this, of course, was a phone issue (compass & calibration) which I believe I resolved. I'm really grateful for your reply...my first post and question, and you provided success! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
