Hi,

Just purchased a Phantom Black Tucson. What items are you using to wash and care for your vehicle. I swore I would never get a black car because of swirl marks and light scratching but I love the look.

Also, what ways are you avoiding having the shiny interior plastic from scratching?

I have a PTB and wash it once per week with products from Chemical Guys. I washed, clayed and polished, waxed and sealed with ceramic coating. I quick detail weekly to keep the dust off. No swirls thus far. We've had a rash of bugs recently, so I use Simple Green to dissolve them, then wash normally

I have not had any issues with the plastic trim, just wipe with a damp microfiber cloth.

@DubaiRich which exact product from simple green do you use? Mind posting the link or specific product. They have so many!!

Where did you get those towels from? what do you use to apply your wax? do you use a paste wax and then hybrid wax for maintenance? also, past wax, do you put it on in a circular motion? what type of pad are you using. THis is my first car and want it to keep looking good. thanks for the information.

This is the base wax I utilized, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish and Wax I applied with normal pads, in a gentle, circular motions, removed in horizontal wipes. This wax applies easily and leaves no residue. All of the items are available from Amazon
