Was thinking about putting a couple pinstripes on my 23 Tucson. Would love to see a picture or two of something tastefully done.
Hideous comes to mind.Whoa... that's scary.
The car has so much going on with angles it won't be easy. But I can see an understated pinstripe could work. On a color like I have, Amazon Grey I would think a complimentary color not a contrasting one.If I do go ahead with a pinstripe or two, I don't think I want to accent the front fender lines. They already look quite pronounced.
Danco:Pinstripes are so 1990s...

My '68 Mustang did not have pinstriping, but my 2004 4Runner does. So, I'd say 1986+30 years!Danco:
If you would agree that Pnistripes were so 50's and 60's, then I'd say, "So am I.."
I hear ya. Pinstripes, like chrome, have fallen out of favor as of late. But I come from the dinosaur age, and just like when we sit down at the dinner table, ya like whatcha like. I've always liked pinstripes and calipers that are anything other than plain old silver. There won't be any other do-dads on my car for appearance other than these. I'm happy cuz now it's personal. There's not another Tucson on the planet that looks like it. Plus my car will always have a light dusting of white powder on the sidewalls of my tires: curtesy of the dirt road I live on.I like that, Gary.
I'm not a big fan of pinstriping, but that looks—dare I say it?—Tasteful.
Like you, I'm a dinosaur, too. I don't paint my calipers, because I still think of them as brake drums!I hear ya. Pinstripes, like chrome, have fallen out of favor as of late. Mine was a '68 Mustang, but same idea!Brake drums? Wow... last car I had with drums on the front was my 67 Camaro in high school. And yeah, I painted those too, along with the rear differential cover plate. Those were the days when every teen wanted a set of fat tires mounted on SS Cragar mags. Jack up the back so the tires would stick out of the wheel wells, and head for the local drive through... Good times.
