Have been driving across country for about 2k miles. without fail, there is a faint, plastic intermittent rattle sound when reaching 70 mph. seems like there is air flow going to a place under the hood and dash, that causes a loose small part impinge against a plastic housing of some kind. i don't know, just guessing. new car, so it's disappointing. otherwise the car is great, I love it. Anyone have similar sound?

Yes, it seems to be coming from the drivers side from what I can hear. a bit difficult to hear at 70 mph with the wind and tire noise in the background, but yes, it seems to be coming from the driver's side. ....and same here, when I go to dealer for 7500 mile checkup, will have them try to pinpoint the location/problem.

We have the same issue on ours. I first thought the problem was the drivers rear tire flap which came loose after about 4500 miles. I was able to reattach it and the rattle sound did not disappear. Soooo I will continue to investigate before taking to dealer. The fact that so many of us are experiencing this issue I am guessing that there is an obvious culprit.

Just bought a used SEL Hybrid with 2200 miles on it and heard a faint drivers side rattle while on interstate. Could not figure it out. Mildly annoying for sure.

I have the hybrid blue trim and I hear the faint clatter at higher speeds. Seems wind related. It sounds like its coming from the front grill area but I have banged on the grill and find no looseness. I can duplicate the sound if I tap on the front signal lights. Maybe, but I don't see why they would clatter only at speed. I continue to troubleshoot the noise. I could tape the signal lights and see if that isolates the problem...

I have not found the source of the problem yet. I am going to tape the black plastic tubing and loose bracket attachment in the front driver's wheel well. It is a bit loose at the plastic bracket that fastens the black plastic tubing to the wall of the wheel well. will then take for test drive to see if it makes any difference.

I have had my Tucson Hybrid Blue for about a month and hear the same rattling. No clue to where the noise is coming from. Hope someone figures it out!

I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid Limited AWD with the same problem. It's baffling that it always happens when I reach a certain highway speed. I'm actually relieved to find that others are having the same issue, because it seems more likely it will be solved eventually. I've thought maybe it was coming from the sun roof, but it's really difficult to tell. Definitely hearing it on the driver's side.

I tried taping the black hose and plastic bracket....test drove it. no effect on the rattle noise. so, will try something new..

I had a sound similar to this coming from both sides of the vehicle. Underneath the SUV there are two covered panels running almost the length of the vehicle. There are regulars bolts holding the panels in place, but there are also black plastic tipped bolts which you can tighten by hand. I found that a few of these were loose causing the rattling noise.

Hello all,

I have pinpointed my clicking noise to the window bezel/rail that runs horizontally in the outside part of the window. When I was cleaning the window with a cloth the other day I pressed it and it clicked, then I went inside, told my wife to click it and it was the same noise I heard when crosswinds hit my car on a highway. I have a service appointment to switch to winter tires and I included this topic on the service appointment.

Now I'm facing another issue and hope to get some feedback, my 2022 hybrid has a huge amount of noise coming in at the triangle place at both passenger/driver (over our shoulders top of window) windows, has anyone experience or been able to solve this issue? When I push/press the seals the sound goes away but I'm not sure if Hyundai will fix this.

I apologize if I did not use the right terminology as I know more about tech and chicken maternity, than cars + I'm not native speaker :D

Kind regards,

Gus

I think I've identified the clattering noise that I've been hearing at highway speeds since new. I thought the sound was coming from the front grill area and seemed to be wind related. Turns out the hood latch isn't adjusted properly. If I press down on the hood after closing, it feels firm and closed tightly, and the alignment of the hood to the adjacent body panels is good. However, if I dig my figertips under the hood and lift, it will lift slightly and click against the latch. After some study, I determined that the latch has to be adjusted downward. I tackled this today and it wasn't easy. Access to the adjustment bolts is very poor. Ideally, the front bumper should be removed (which is ridiculous) but it can be done by undoing the 4 push pins and releasing the tabs behind the latch. What a pain!

I have not taken the NX4 out on the road for a test drive yet but I've got the hood solidly down now. No rattling from the latch.

UPDATE: I continued to investigate the noise which continues to get worse. It is now audible at 60+ MPH. I identified the source to be the under carriage plastic plate that runs the length of the drivers side from front to rear. I was able to duplicate the rattling, when not moving, by flexing the plate. I just took our 2022 Tucson Hybrid in for it's first service, let the dealer know what the problem was, they were able to duplicate and found the bottom plate screws loose. I picked up the car and drove it at 75 MPH and the noise is GONE! Problem solved and now we can enjoy our Tucson again. We really love this car!

Just took delivery of a 2022 Tucson PHEV SEL within the last week and experiencing the plastic rattling on the passenger's side at about 50 mph +. Going to try and take it in for service over the weekend and see what they find. Hoping its as simple as a loose screw/plate.
