Have the same problem on my 1 week old hybrid, comes from driver's side on interstate at speeds of 65+ but only when going over bumps. Almost like a strut is loose/broken. Haven't gone to the dealer yet.

I didn’t want to wait for a service appointment so I got down on the ground to look under my Tucson hybrid blue at the plastic cover mentioned by Ron. There are about 3 plastic screws and some metal screws holding the plastic up. All the plastic screws were loose and a few metal ones also. I tightened them on both sides and have not heard the rattling after a week. Hoping that was the culprit. If you can wait, let the dealer take care of it. Took me awhile to get back up off the ground! Lol. Good luck!

When I first got my car I noticed a loose plastic screw in the front inner fender liner. I went around the car and more than half of them were loose.

I believe the plastic nuts on the large, floppy covers underneath the car are meant to be an aid in attaching the unwieldy parts. The aero cover under the engine has one also. The plastic nuts are captured, i.e. they do not fall out if you loosen them all the way. A mechanic working alone would lift the cover up and screw the captured plastic nut onto the stud first. That holds the cover up so he can screw in the bolts after. I believe the plastic nut is only meant to be hand tight.

i agree they are probably captured nuts. I hand tightened the ones that were flopping around until they didn't flop around anymore. They have stayed tight so far.

I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid Limited AWD with the same problem. It's baffling that it always happens when I reach a certain highway speed. I'm actually relieved to find that others are having the same issue, because it seems more likely it will be solved eventually. I've thought maybe it was coming from the sun roof, but it's really difficult to tell. Definitely hearing it on the driver's side.
MIne also sounds like its coming from the sunroof like to the left of my head. Its always at 65+mph and is consistent on the highway. It pretty annoying since I have about 40 miles each way to and from work on the highway.

Do you have roof rails? I had noise at freeway speed and it went away when I took them off

There is a private facebook group I've seen some people complaining of loud noise on, they found it came through poor sealing on the side mirror (one side or the other). Could that be the source of your noise? It was allowing air to enter the cabin at speed, I don't remember exactly how it was fixed. If it's every single drive then your dealer should be able to recreate it and fix easily.

Thank you, Thank you for that solution to tighten down the plastic nuts under the car. I took the car to the dealer (Roger Beasley in Austin) and was told that there was no problem and it was just normal wind noise. After crawling under the car for 5 minutes feeling around for the plastic nuts, all of them were loose. Noise is now gone and we are much happier.

UPDATE: I continued to investigate the noise which continues to get worse. It is now audible at 60+ MPH. I identified the source to be the under carriage plastic plate that runs the length of the drivers side from front to rear. I was able to duplicate the rattling, when not moving, by flexing the plate. I just took our 2022 Tucson Hybrid in for it's first service, let the dealer know what the problem was, they were able to duplicate and found the bottom plate screws loose. I picked up the car and drove it at 75 MPH and the noise is GONE! Problem solved and now we can enjoy our Tucson again. We really love this car!
Hi Ron J. This is Schmedley, the 'Discussion Starter' on this topic 6 months ago. thanks for the suggestion. I tried what you described. It was very easy to see that long plastic under carriage plate under the drivers side of the car. it was very easy to see two plastic nuts on it, and yes, they were loose. I tightened them and took a test drive. The faint plastic rattle at about 60-70+ mph is still there. I will have to try something else. thanks.

I had a sound similar to this coming from both sides of the vehicle. Underneath the SUV there are two covered panels running almost the length of the vehicle. There are regulars bolts holding the panels in place, but there are also black plastic tipped bolts which you can tighten by hand. I found that a few of these were loose causing the rattling noise.

Have been driving across country for about 2k miles. without fail, there is a faint, plastic intermittent rattle sound when reaching 70 mph. seems like there is air flow going to a place under the hood and dash, that causes a loose small part impinge against a plastic housing of some kind. i don't know, just guessing. new car, so it's disappointing. otherwise the car is great, I love it. Anyone have similar sound?
I've had this too! On the highway or when it's windy out. Trying to figure it out.
