Idaho already has an extra fee on registration for electric vehicles. Hey, you don’t pay gas tax which funds the highways we all drive on, gotta pay some way.

Hhmmmm, let's see. That's;
-19.2 cents/day. Maybe tax on -> one <- gallon of gas in many states. You're neither buying that gallon though, nor ANY other gas ever if it's a PEV.
-$5.80/mo. That used to be a Netflix new release rental. Back when $5 was worth something.
-Two really nice bottles of bourbon. Per year. Hey, rotten Dept. of Revenue! Hiway robbery!

Here in Pa Steve, we already pay one of the highest gas taxes in the nation at $0.58 per gallon. Of course PennDot is so mismanaged that they're always screaming for more funds to take care of the states infrastructure. Now with more hybrids on the road and less fuel tax going into the coffers, I can see why states are levying a fee on owners of hybrids. One way or another, we're all going to pay the piper. I'd rather pay more and drive on smooth roads than those laden with potholes and cracks. And, let's not forget about bridges......
