Plug in limited arriving soon. We are kayakers and I want to use a roof rack. The Hyundai OEM crossbars are “not for use with sunroof”. Thule specs one. Anyone tried the Thule with a sunroof? Alternatives?

Thanks...looking forward to hearing..hope they work! Which model crossbars did you get? Can you share the stock numbers for the foot and crossbar?I have SEL Convenience with pano sunroof. My Thule racks arrive Thursday. I will let you know how they fit.
They’re on! Easy enough to install. Thanks!! Looking forward to your report...
All looks good! Thanks.
Just to be aware, They don’t come with the locks. I was able to pick up a four pack at my local REI for $59. Same price on Thule.Nice!
All looks good! Thanks.
Ours came stock with those crossbars as an added item from the factory.I have a 2022 Tucson Limited HEV, which has the pano sunroof. I just installed the Hyundai Cross Bars. Hyundai makes two versions, part CWF21 AU000 for models without the sunroof, and CWF21 AU100 for models with the sunroof (note the last three digits are 100 not 000). The crossbars list for $395, but you can find in on-line for under $300. A few dealers sell the parts for a discount (I bought mine from Conicelli Hyundai for $278). That includes everything you need, but it does not include locks. I was able to install the Thule locking cylinders (set of 4 for $60) so that I could lock mine. It works great with the sunroof. Very easy to install and remove. The cross bars don't make much noise with the sunroof closed, but you get a bit more wind noise with the sunroof open.
Wow! That is a lot cheaper than the Thule racks and it looks about the same.I have a 2022 Tucson Limited HEV, which has the pano sunroof. I just installed the Hyundai Cross Bars. Here is a video link showing the sunroof operation with the crossbars installed(could not figure out how to upload the video here) and a bunch of photos.

If you still need one, check this I got. Amazon.com
It keeps clearance for opening my sunroof. If you had investigated the Hyundai Racks. you’ll find it is the same style as Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Palisade. But the Hyundai Tucson racks are different. Anyway, I like the design and the quality is good. Hope it helps.
