Greetings,
I'm told that the PHEV will arrive in April (waiting since July).
From everyone's experiences, is there any room to negotiate?

Only one car is coming in, and my assumption is that it could be easily sold.
Dealer is not adding a "tax", or other unusual mark-up.

Do I have any leverage? What about on accessories, such as mats, mud guards, etc..?

Thanks for your thoughts.

A lot of the accessories come from the factory on the sticker. If they didn’t load up the car there you obviously have more room to negotiate those or buy third party for things like mats, racks and the like.
Auto market seems to be softening but it really depends on your area and demand for your model. I would suspect that if there is only 1 (one) coming in….well you will likely pay what you are gonna pay.

I’m confused though. Have you not already negotiated on this vehicle? You should be able to see the sticker at this point if they know dates and model etc. if they aren’t asking for dealer adds like“brake light pulse” and various protection packages then that is a plus. And if they aren’t asking for ADM then You probably have a decent deal.
Check out CarEdge on YouTube. Lots of good videos on the market and the tricks of the trade and how to negotiate.

Hi Docking. Thanks for your response.
Since the car is still a few weeks out (allegedly) then the sticker is not yet "official". Also my trade-in value is only good for a week, so that will have to be recalculated as well. Hence we have not yet gotten into pricing details. Plus, our salesperson is now the sales manager and we're now working with a new person. Thanks again.

Hmmm. I have always been able to get a copy of the sticker in advance. The dealer does have those at a certain point….
The trade is an issue but the used market seems to be going back up again. Check out he car edge stuff. And other YouTube sites for a sense of the market. Your market may be unique though.

Contact Car Fax or Vroom online and get a quote on your car. They'll buy it straight up from ya. Might give you bargaining points when you get the actual trade in numbers from the dealer. Downside is that if you don't trade it in, you pay full sales tax on your new vehicle.
