Assuming that's your driveway, that amazing Tucson is making it look bad. You can't have ANY cracks in a driveway with a car that looks like that!!! I'm afraid you're going to have to spring for some new concrete to provide the perfect setting for that car. :)
Gary, I really appreciate your eye for details that I should do something about , but I'm not doing that until I fall into one . The driveway is about 40 ft long and drops about 15 feet. It is aggregate and slippery as hell when wet. For the winters its AWD baby! My F150 is 2WD and I have to get a run at it when wet. Tucson just crawls up on all fours. We don't get snow, thankfully.

Aigggght...here it is! My sweet ride

Hmmmm...after I posted my picture, I noticed something strange. In the picture below, why is one panel in the grill below the tag blank--no horizontal bars?
Image

The equivalent panel on the driver's side has crossbars (as do all the others), but not this one. Once you notice it, it kind of sticks out.
I would get down and look underneath to see if I can see some practical reason for the difference, but recurring vertigo in my old age pretty much rules that out. Any ideas? Or is it just Hyundai quirky style?
Edit: Maybe a better question is why is the equivalent panel on the driver's side open and with the bars?

I first noticed it pulling it out of the garage for my wife's weekly shopping. Apparently occurred during her only trip beforehand, which was the prior week's shopping. And, yes there was a WalMart involved. It had to have been a large carboard container (likely on a flatcart) trying to squeeze between cars. Fortunately it did NOT get past the clearcoat, and did NOT deform any stylelines. I ran it to a well-known name bodyshop = $1,800. The rear wheel trim had a scuff = "We have to replace it." Which explained the R&R bumper fascia. Which will guarantee (**) up at least one sensor somewhere back there. For life. I said, "Skip that altogether. Don't mess with it." Them: "Oh, we don't do partial repair, only the complete repairs." Strike 1.

And there was 'R & R Qtr. Glass'. Which is allegedly to reshoot the clear. After blending the quarter. After re-painting the door. I said to leave the glass alone, and just use toothpicks to hold off the gasket, then mask and spray under it. (And we all know that's exactly how they'll do it.) "Oh no, that is not how we do it. The glass has to come out." Strike 2.

This prissy little SUV is 1 1/2 years old with barely 3k miles. Overall, not just a ripoff (to the insurance) but a perfect case of the repair WORSE than the damage. Strike 3.

I called insurance and said I'm taking it to a couple few detailing shops for their opinion of best fix.

Sorry for the Friday Downer. Here's the 1st pic ever taken - Portofino Gray. Overcast morning. Not a very common color out on the road:

People suck.

Probably talking on their cell phone too while trying to maneuver an item between the cars.

I always park far away from anyone in parking lots. I don’t care how far I have to walk. I also account for slopes in the parking lot and/or wind direction due to runaway carts.

Sorry this happened :sneaky:

Shopping is dangerous in Italy too.

While I was shopping at the supermarket, someone "kissed" my Tucson leaving me this "souvenir"

The damage was minor, fortunately.
A lot of arm work with a good scratch remover product
and this is the result.

Only a small drop of "Polar White touch-up paint" was needed to close a micro-hole in the paint.

Ciao

Very unfortunate how some people don't value their own vehicles on top of other people's vehicle. Makes it worse if their vehicle is older and already has scratches or damage then they really care less about others. Good job on the self repair though. Looks good!

For Frengo, yes cred yo on your DIY repairs there. The wife and I have taken to parking further and further away where there's fewer cars when parking anywhere. It still doesn't cut down on dings, but it's good exercise. Pretty soon we'll just have to start pulling into the lot across the street from where we're shopping.

Keeping the car "contactless" is a roulette that depends on luck.
I saw an elderly lady, driving an old van, enter a parking lot driving one way in reverse, knock down a pole with a no entry sign and then park (badly) in front of the mall as if nothing had happened😱

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. People are idiots.

There has been more than once when I have been in one of my former vehicles with the engine running in a parking lot and someone parks right next to me and proceeds to hit my car with their door when getting out. And my face is right there in my window 🤷‍♂️

I never said anything, but my blood pressure always went up as I just sat there in disbelief. I am much more bitter now, so if it happened to my Tucson, I would definitely throw a water balloon at them.

I have a plastic tote in my back seat that always has at least one water balloon pre filled and ready for action.

Yup. Some people view their vehicle as a mode of transportation, and that is it. Even if they have money for a new or expensive vehicle, they prefer to just run their vehicles into the ground. That’s not a bad thing but it’s definitely not for me. If I don’t love my car then I’m not going to be very happy.

It would be nice though if more people can recognize a nice vehicle when they see one and likely assume that the owner does take pride in the looks of their ride.
