Since no one on here has posted any pictures about the Hyundai side steps, I figured I’d make a post once I got mine installed.

Where these installed by the dealer?
Yeah, I had bought them myself on the Hyundai Shop website and then made an appointment at the dealer I bought the car from to have them installed.

Noob question but do they charge extra for the install as well? Or given you bought it from hyundai they install free of cost?

Sadly they did charge for install, but I knew I couldn’t do it myself as I would screw it up. The directions are on the webpage where I bought them, so you could look at it and if able to do it yourself, save you money.

Do these help from getting door dings?

Thanks

There is also a red trim line side step for ICE only vehicles

I do like how it all comes together.

Are these available in black?
Hi Starboy, the only set avail in black has a red stripe along the side, which actually reminds me of the Subaru outback sport - not a bad thing.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am researching part number N9F37-AC000 which seems quite pricey but still may purchase it . I drive a Amazon Gray Limited and not sure if the black with red would compliment it as well as the silver. Thoughts?
@Starboy, that pn N9F37-AC000 is the American pn for the steps i have on my tuc currently. i like them and they attach really securely, by replacing the lower inside cabin trim that is behind the doors. It could be why its so pricey as it is more than just attached by arms that extend off the chassis, but actually replace the entire trim and have the step extend off of it. i can take some pics with the doors opened if you need a better look!

Can you verify the part number of your side steps I goggled one and even had a different part number called the dealer and he then called Hyundai directly and said they don't have a side step that will fit a 2022 Tucson Limited PHEV. The part number I was trying to buy was

Please do I really like them I have noticed a few other side steps but am concerned for installation and strength.

I have never seen a set of side step install this way, but i have also never installed steps on such a modern vehicle - specifically where the rocker panel is hidden by the doors. I love that design since it protects rocker panels from damage and also allows better insulation of road noise and wind draft /ingress/egress from the cabin occupants. its superior design in every way and even more so with the plastic trim used for the lower sections of the doors.

I can post pics of the installation sheet to give a better idea as pictures will not really illustrate the intricacy in the installation. Its affixed with very low torque but leverages multiple mounting points along the entire length of the rocker panel. Weather stripping from the original trim is re-used on the side step to ensure the cabin area is sealed.

Do you know if you can leave the factory mud flaps on as I see yours are aftermarket. I have seen pictures of these with factory mud flaps

Just to be certain you have the PHEV model and not the ICE model
i have the HEV, with the OE canada exclusive Rally Armor flaps.

The oem running boards are pricey. I wonder if anyone bought these aftermarket running boards on Amazon?

I have seen those but not sure if they fit the Tucson PHEV. It seems the under carrage is different on the different models,
