Hello everyone!

After 8 months of waiting, I finally take possession of my Luxury PHEV today!!!

I was wondering if current owners could give me their advice on what questions I should be asking, demonstrations on how to use certain things I should request, etc. to make the most of my time at the dealership. Maybe think of this as if you were to be taking possession of your Tucson for a second time, what would you do differently or what did you really appreciate the first time around?

Right now I have these questions prepared (feel free to give your answers if you like):
  • What's the best way to break in both motors? I have a daily commute that could be done all-electric so I was wondering if I should be purposeful about using the ICE initially.
  • How protected or vulnerable the vehicle is against theft and what more can I do to protect myself and what I should do in the unfortunate event the car does gets stolen (does the tacking work)? There's been a lot of car jacking going on in my city, specifically new cars with key fob systems.
  • The difference between the app set up on the mobile and web apps. Also can multiple users (aka myself and my wife) be using the app for the same car?
  • Another app question, do you see each charge session a the kw of the session?

Thanks in advance for your answers... sorry for the last minute post :)

Don't think the electric motor needs a break in.

The App from Hyundai is the way to go. Have them install it and show you how it works.
I use a aftermarket charging station at my house that shows you exactly how much KWH you use and its cost based on your KWH's you are charged for when you implement it. It is software that comes with the charger. I have the Emporia model as it is the most efficient and inexpensive compared to the others here in the states.
