What's your Love It and Hate It of your Tucson?

What are some of your love it/didn't know I was going to like it and your hate it/thought I was going to like it but it's meh of your Tucson? It doesn't have to be a Tucson exclusive feature.

Love it:
+Styling for sure. After owning it for 8 months, I'm still super impressed with the styling and it always puts a smile on my face.
+Also really love the Pano roof. Can't imagine without it.
+Oh! Living in hot/humid Houston where we have mild Winters, I didn't think I'd care for the heated seats/steering wheel much but man did I ever use it doing this past winter!

Hate it:
-After washing the car, water gets all in the nooks and crannies of the back lift gate. So, no matter how hard you dry it, more water eventually leaks out with visible drip marks on the back. Water/soap where the wiper is, water behind the license plate, water behind the taillights?, the under the back window gap. Very annoying!
-While I love the gray interior, I hate how it easily stains from blue jeans.

The hatch on most SUV’s always seem to seep water hours after washing. It sometimes helps to open the hatch after washing and run a dry towel around the entire inn
As for the staining, I have the same issues on previous tan and light grey interiors. Get a good leather cleaner and keep it handy. It’s kind of inevitable when we’re sliding across them.
Dont like the lack of a volume or tuning knob. The capacitive buttons are ok sitting still, but w

Opps, last post misfired
Likes- Driver seat slides back getting in or out of the driver seat. It looks great, inside and out. It’s not a Mustang GT ( or a hybrid for that matter ), but it’s fast enough. Everything about it is modern, keeps you safe and dies it with a classy look. This isn’t you fathers Subaru !
Dislikes- Unlock buttons on front outside doors are are to see, especially in bright light. It would be nice if the Apple CarPlay was wireless.
I love how the engine cuts in and you really can't tell - it is so smooth.
I hate (hate is really too strong) how the system resets itself occasionally.
I really like the adaptive cruise control and the auto hold on the brakes. Not that thrilled yet with the fact that I have to remember to turn off the stop n go every time I start the car.
SEL, Convenience, Premium ICE
Big con for me, not able to arrange radio stations. Still annoying.
Not a biggie but why no curtesy foot lights.

I acknowledge there are other things I wonder "why?" about though not an actual con for me. (such as not being able to lock the door with inside button or why the rear door speakers are low volume)

The car is a big Plus/Love overall. Styling of course, love that grey interior. But specifically...
MPG!! Who would have guessed? I get over the window sticker numbers sometimes way over on the highway.

Air conditioning Important here of course. Best I have had auto works terrifically.

All the safety features including collision, but specifically the Smart Cruise Control reduces fatigue on a longer trip or even in traffic. True game changer and reading reviews works better than some more expensive cars.
Also the Auto Brake is one of several nice touches this car has.

Our friends that went with us to an event couldn't stop raving how comfortable the rear reclining seats are.

Many of the Bluelink features.

OMG YES! The Auto Hold is an amazing feature. I was like "WTF is that? and why would I care for it" but I use it every time. I also agree I wish we can just keep it on.

My biggest con is the LKA. It really loves to hug either one side of the lane or the other, and it sketches me out when I am passing larger trucks. Also, the infotainment system (Preferred/ SEL? trim) is pretty slow, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to chip shortages, and Hyundai throwing in a minimum spec chip in.

Other than that, it makes a great work car, and no major issues aside from small things, that, frankly, every vehicle has.

If your jeans bleed, wash them in cold water with about 3 cups of white Vinegar in the final rinse.

Come back next week on getting rid of ring around the collar...... :ROFLMAO:

100% this. I buy exclusively cheap jeans for work, always do the vinegar wash right away, and those colors never run!

So far, while getting used to the biggest vehicle I have ever owned (coming from a Mazdaspeed 3) I am overall happy with my Shimmering Silver HEV SEL. After 3 weeks the only major gripes I have are lack of at minimum a donut spare tire, and the very cheap appearance and feel of the seat material. Everything else about the interior bats well above its price point, but to me they really cheaped out on the seating.

I was surprised at the size also, much larger than expected. Looked at the Santa Fe, but although a nice vehicle, much too big for me. As far as seat coverings, I have leather in my SEL, has convenience and premier pkgs. which include leather, along with heated and ventilated seats, love that feature.

Teeny tiny little thing that I will eventually get used to….

the overhead center “console” that has the interior lights and sunroof controls, is black.

everytime I see it out of the corner of my eye I think it is an open glasses holder and I think to close it.

What I notice is the view in front of me while driving. No obstructions, no humps in the dashboard, not on the instruments or information center, just a linear line across the dash, one of the reasons I purchased this Tucson!

That they should have had there. ;)

Great point. Often the infotainment display looks like an afterthought plopped there sticking up. When I frst saw the interior at the Dealer I had to look to be sure it was the Tucson I was looking at.

Exactly my point! After the vehicle was built, someone said, 'we forgot the information controls' and stuck in in the middle of the dash, looks ugly and I would not have a car with that display directly in front of my line of vision.
One niggling complaint is the lane keeping assist. Too many constant minor adjustments. It is much smoother when I am steering. Also, when the cruise is on I need to pull out to pass much sooner or I find I have slowed down to stay behind the car I have caught up to. I prefer to maintain the speed I set rather than the slowdown I sometimes don't notice until very late. Then I might be boxed in. Otherwise thumbs up.
