Wireless Car Play PHEV Issue

Hey there. Took possession of my PHEV Luxury (Canadian model) few days ago. Issue I’m having is the phone volume on wireless car play. I have a newer iPhone 12 mini with iOS up to date. Basically the call volume on car play doesn’t work. It’s basically the same volume that I last off with on Spotify “media” volume. For example, if I listened to music on lower setting and take a call I have no way to adjust the call volume up. When I press the volume button it says “phone” but it does not affect the volume of the phone call itself. Hope this makes sense and I’m hoping someone else has had this before or has a fix. Cheers

Are you adjusting the volume on the steering wheel? I have an iPhone 13 and have no problem with changing music or phone call volume from the steering wheel. Never tried it any other way
Still doesn't work. Steering wheel or volume control wheel. I've adjusted every possible sound setting. I might have to get the dealer to take a look maybe there's a software update.

Yep, same issue here.
Changing the volume after the call is initiated seems to have no effect in Carplay.

Radio volume (0) : If you set the radio (FM or other) at volume 0 before you place a call with Wireless car play, even the Car Play Phone volume is set to max (42) during the call, the actual phone call volume will remain 0 even the screen shows max (42).

Radio volume (20) : If you set the radio volume to 20 before you place a call with Wireless car play, you will have a bit of volume for your phone call, but the phone call volume does not change as per the Phone volume shows max (42).

Using : iOs 15.4 and problem occurs on iPhone X as well as iPhone 13 Pro

Seems to be a Hyundai head unit issue and not an apple issue IMO.
Can we update by ourself the infotainment head unit using a USB memory stick (the smaller version with no GPS and Wireless Carplay) ?

We cannot update it no. The tech told me my unit was up to date and they had no other updates in work for now. I am glad to hear i'm not alone. I am going to do some research later when I get a few minutes either to write to Hyundai Canada or to my dealership to inform them formally in writing what the issue is. If you are OK with this, I would like to mention there are other PHEV owners in Quebec (or Canada) with the same problems. I would need your contact though. PM if interested. Cheers

PHEV Luxury in Canada. I’m also seeing the same issue. It seems to be widespread as I’ve read multiple posts about this now.
Your head units don't have a separate volume control for Phone Projection? the 8 inch model does. If that is too low turning up the general volume won't make a difference.
On mine it's under Sound, System Sound, Connected devices. Android auto volume controls and Apple Car Play.
