It’s with a heavy heart, I must bid you all goodbye.
Last week we traded our Tucson for a new Santa Fe Hybrid. We wanted a hybrid from the beginning, but do to obvious shortages last year, we settled for the 2.5. It was still a great car, but we wanted a little bigger interior and the hybrid experience.
I will miss the great conversations and tips and hints from all the community on this forum.

Pretty easy, really! It’s always starts off the way ( especially with the backing out of the garage, I sound like a garbage truck backing up ). If you keep a light touch, even runs on EV pretty easily! So far I get about 35.5 mpg, but we’ll see how good once I get some mikes on it!
We originally were looking at the ‘24 Santa Fe, but it sounded like it was going to a weird design.

Not that I care about buying one, but it's gonna have to be a good deal 'bigger' everything as the newest Tucson pretty much matched it in many aspects (actually LARGER seats down rear payload !!). And interesting if the American market will get a 3rd row stuffed in.

Yeah, we really washed our teeth about waiting for the '24. We looked at all the "images " of what they think it will look like, got others options too. It boiled down to our very poor experience with a new model ( I've covered it ad nauseam in this forum ) and I just didn't to risk it again. Best to go with a Santa Fe that has been pretty much the same since 2019 or 20 with a proven drive train and reliability. I'm funny that way.

I notice in the back of the SF, there's a ton of storage space under the rear decking. That's probably where they thought of putting a third row in the current generation, but let the Sorneto give it a try. From what I saw, its not so much a third row as an upholstered shelf!

Yeah, I've watching all the YouTube guesstimates of the new model, derived from the camouflage SF that was seen in testing. Can't wait to see the real thing. I've heard it probably won't be till very late in the year for a reveal.

Not as great as a year ago, when the car world was nuts, ( you remember, they gave us more for our trade than we purchased it for), but did better than any other site or dealer was offering.

Yeah, I liked the extra stuff the Caligraphy ( heads up display, nicer wheels, etc.) but no hybrid. C’est La vie!😀

Not bad for the current times. They gave me higher than market value from several sites ( KBB, Carvana, Vroom, etc.). Unfortunately not like a year ago when used car values were higher than new car prices.

Went through YouTube videos and on line spy photos. They were well camouflaged, but you could get an idea of its new design. The artists renderings were interested, but take with a grain of salt ( one day I’ll figure out where that saying came from😳). A lot of it is cut & paste, but you get some a rough picture of the 5th generation.
