No, unfortunately the Tucson doesn't come with a left foot rest, also commonly referred to as a "dead pedal". I miss having it too, and would certainly consider purchasing one if Hyundai offered it as an accessory.
I noticed right upon delivery of our '22 ICE had at least a facsimile of a left foot rest. I'm pretty much a 2-footed driver, so don't have as much use for it. I have no pic of the bare floorpan, so while the floor mats I got might have been bolstered to accentuate that area more, I just don't think so. I did just go out and met with firm resistance below the area of that raised rectangle. Plus, I definitely recall the mats all having quite extensively molded profiles to conform closely to all contours, but also that no part of any mats were fabricated thicker than other areas - surprisingly sturdy to resist losing shape, and just as surprisingly thin showing apparent high quality - if that helps:
First Pic is with the mat lifted away. Took new insole put bottom up should last long time been there since '22 and just replace as needed. I used strong two sided tape to hold. (Aiien tape) I don't always have the rubber mats in I have regular custom grey to match the interior also. But works great either way.
anyone else find the space where there would be a dead pedal/foot rest on other cars to be a bit low/hard to reach on the tucson, and if so have you found anything like an aftermarket part to improve the angle for longer drives?
