2025 where is the 2025 Tucson trailer wiring harness plug?
The Curt hitch instructions stated that part couldn't be reinstalled. After installing did you leave the plastic plate pictured in your post off?
You have to pass wire by under ,the 4 pins plug dont pass by inside ,that's it , tanksThe Curt hitch instructions stated that part couldn't be reinstalled.
There's no room to reinstall it once the hitch is installed and the hitch can't be installed (I don't believe) if that cover is left in place.
It’s an hour job and not too hard. Just follow the detailed instructions. You got a deal then. My dealer is quoting $300 plus the full price of the harness at $230.
Thank you for sharing. This should be very helpful!Received OEM trailer harness/module today and installed it.
This is on a '25 SEL Hybrid. I didn't hurry, took about 45 minutes.
The OEM wire harness instruction PDF is solid enough for a successful install.
First thing is to disconnect the 12v connection on the passenger side.
Pull the weatherstrip back a little on the rear and up the left side to help in removing the Transverse panel and the left side panel.
The left panel is held in place by 3 screws and multiple plastic tong connections that aren't visible.
Need to go slow on pulling the Transverse panel out. It seemed like it wasn't going to come off but steady pressure and it did.
Slowly pull the left panel pack from the vertical rear part of it and also from the top of it. Can feel/hear the tongs disconnecting. I pulled mine back about 16" at the rear side and propped it open there..plenty of room to work inside.
I didn't use any wire ties inside the panel as there is a boatload of space in there and no moving parts.
It's all plug and play wire wise so no need to splice or pinhole any wires.
I did use wires ties to run the wire harness from the grommet to the hitch.
Everything goes back together easily and takes just a few minutes.

Yes, OEM kit. It's expensive, costs about $160 but worth it IMO since there is no pin holing wires or splicing.Thank you for sharing. This should be very helpful!
Is that the Hyundai wiring kit? I already installed my Curt hitch, and wasn't planning on wiring for lights, as I only plan to use it for my Hollywood Racks Ebike rack. After seeing your images, I may just install wiring, even if just to add lights to the bike rack.
I used Costco Auto to purchase my 2025 Tucson hybrid. After reviewing the service, I get a coupon for 50% off parts and service, up to $100 savings!Yes, OEM kit. It's expensive, costs about $160 but worth it IMO since there is no pin holing wires or splicing.

These are great photos! I started to install mine but I had trouble removing the transverse panel so I took it to the dealer. Cost $250. I may have kept trying if I had been paying attention and saw your photos. I decided it would cost me a couple hundred bucks if I broke one of the panels trying to remove it, so I just ate the cost.Received OEM trailer harness/module today and installed it.

Yes, the 2025 has a factory hitch lights plug adapter installed. Don't know about the Curt wire harness, I used the OEM harness. So there is a factory pre-wire for the lights on the 2025 Tucson? Most forums are saying there isn’t one. You found that it is hidden in the panel inside the cargo area? Is this correct? Is it then plug and play with an adapter like the one available from Curt?
Same with me. I installed my own hitch, but took the OEM harness I purchased to my dealer to install. None of the fine pictures of the OEM harness installation (above) had been submitted by other owners at that point, or I would have installed it myself.Yes, the 2025 has a factory hitch lights plug adapter installed. Hi, see attached...These pics are great jackkilleen, and I expect they will help immensely! I love all the markup you supplied, it's extremely clarifying.
For anyone looking, and like me couldn't readily find it, here is a link to the installation guide from OldManWinter's post on page 2 of this thread: https://www.hyundaiaccessories.com/admin_media_uploads/installationSheets/cwf67ac000.pdf
